Well done, Leo. Completely deserved. The greatest player to ever grace this earth.
To be all time CL scorer by the age of 27 aswell as having more WPOTY awards than anyone else is more than enough proof.
Had the chance to witness it live in Nicosia tonight. Only managed to find ONE bloody ticket, and that was going for 170 euro
The greatest ever IMO.

Has he ever represented Ingland at any level?

The problem with dropping Gerrard is what other options do they have? The DM/CM options are not exactly inspiring.
The biggest issue is the need to replace him was and has been completely ignored.
Can - Henderson with Lallana just ahead of them makes a lot more sense than the current version with both Gerard and Allen in it. It's still not a world class midfield or anywhere near it, but I bet it would be a damn sight more competitive, and a lot less static. Can may not yet be the finished article, but he comes from a solid technical background, and could easily hold his own in the league, playing the "easier" games.
Henderson's been hiding all season, last player I'd want in my team when the chips are down.
I agree to a certain extent. Most of the Liverpool players have been hiding this season to be fair though, and it starts with "Liverpool family captain big and fookin aard Steve Gerrard". As GC has mentioned, the fucker is completely shot to bits after last season and should be put out of his misery.
Carragher's comments the other day are pretty damning coming from one of their own.

He just sounds pretentious. We're used to Pardew, so most of that doesn't seem so bad, just profound guff.

Why are they not playing that Lucas guy? There was a Liverpool fan I talked to not so long ago that claimed he was one of the best in his position in the world....
So what? According to them every other member of the "Liverpool family" is one of the best players in his position in the world apart from Messi and CRonaldo. We just haven't seen it yet.

Finally ended a week in the top 100
Thank you. Thank you all.

Let's be honest, he's been finished for a while now in terms of being an important player in a "top 4" side. They're living in the past (no surprises there...) by refusing to drop him. Pure sentiment keeping him there.
He's saved by the odd game he bothers to give a s*** and is given carte blanche protection from the media. More often than not it's a boost for the opposition when they see his name in the line-up.
England would have gone to the next round in the World Cup if special captain fantabulous Gerard hadn't stunk up the place. He also has no personality whatsoever to go along with his rapidly declining footballing importance. Massive dig from Carragher saying there were "no men" out on the pitch yesterday.
I know it's fashionable and good time to say stuff like that, but let's not re-write history. England were utterly awful in every single sense and position at the WC and got exactly what they deserved. They would have gone out even without that Gerrard assist to Suarez.
It's not fashionable at all. I've been saying this since the season before last about him. He's totally finished, and has been for a while.

I wonder if he likes onion, Badji

Nothing is more beautiful than watching an ageing and ailing Steven Geraaaaaaaahhhd sauntering about the pitch completely unmotivated to help out his "liverpool family". Massive set of wankers the lot of them.

They've already lost twice as many matches as we have

Gayle has got loads of potential.
He's never blown me away when I've seen him
Force to be reckoned with tbh

That ball to Cisse ... Yummy. Disgraceful miss by the Senegalese.
Through ball to Ayoze was better IMO.

Arsenal are absolutely pathetic going forward. Apart from Oxlade-Chamberlain no one looks to have a clue what to do. That aimless single touch in the center of the D by random Arsenal player to absolutely nobody is one of the most predictable things in football. Also, Santi Cazorla is a nothing player.
Oxlade-Chamberlain can be far bigger than Arsenal. Superb player.
You forgot about Sanchez but agree with you apart from that
What about Sanchez? He gave the ball away in ridiculous situations. His needless pass gave away possession that led to Man U's second goal. Too many flicks and tricks tonight. Playing left back, etc.. He's a very good player, but tonight he was all fart and no shit.

I read their earlier article about the new PR agency and how the media was suddenly full of ex players and "pundits" backing Pardew with brilliant arguments like "look at Wolves" and "experienced PL manager".
Surely there must be some players / pundits who have actually seen us play a few times over the past few years. Surely there must be at least a couple of these people brave enough to publicly state their reasons for thinking Pardew isn't fit to be a manager in the premier league.
Can the guys at sack pardew or the local press not try to find these people and get quotes damning this charlatan?
Surely it's not taboo to criticise a manager. How is it the only ones doing it are the fans on forums / blogs?
Unless it's Hodgson at Liverpool or some Spurs cunt not living up to expectations, then criticising managers isn't alright.

I thought the article was confused and rambling.
I don't think anyone was disputing the supporters' right to express the opinion that Pardew should be sacked. What is in dispute is whether that opinion was a) wise and b) helpful to the team in the manner in which it was expressed. Edwards seems to mix the two up.
The idea that the upturn in form is because of the protest is a novel one, and one that Edwards is rather forcing himself to believe, I suspect. These kind of protests heap pressure on a team, and often lead to a downward spiral.
PS - And the idea that it is more difficult to complain or protest in today's society is rubbish.
When the pressure is unfounded or knee-jerk I would agree. In our case that's utter bollocks because Pardew got everything he deserved, and the pressure was even kind to him if I'm honest.
I take it you mean he deserved everything he got. Because he certainly got off lightly when the pressure should have bee ramped up to its highest and unfortunately the sackpardew campaign was largely ignored by the majority in the ground.
Yup. Not worded it properly. The fucker got off very lightly and should have been under a lot more pressure. Even so, I do think the protests and the media attention got him to sit up and notice, and appear as if he's changing his ways. How someone can dismiss that a protest can have a good effect on a football team off-hand without actually looking at the facts is beyond me tbh.

Holy s*** i love this kind of striker. Proper finisher. Always in the right place. Always ahead of his marker. Just seems to put it away effortlessly.

Lady in blue on the right looks like she isn't comfortable being alive.

Mentally he wasn't all there IMO. He focused long enough to pull his team out of the mire, and then dipped again. It was a personal/mental issue for sure, possibly injury related.
