  1. Tbf he didn't take credit when the interviewer asked him about the subs. He said that it wasn't about the subs, it was about the whole team effort. Seemed to leave himself out of any discussion and just spoke about the players. I still don't trust he won't put his foot in it at some point, but I didnt find myself spewing poison having heard the interview on BT.

  2. Up yours cunt. Normally I'm partial to a bit of mourinho, but mainly to troll liverpool. Not today though. Six minutes of thick black and white cock in your blue chip arse.

  3. Pretty sure that Cisse had a whinge in the dressing room at HT about the long balls. He was complaining the entire first half that every ball was wasted when pumped forward by Willett. Willo was hooked for that and the yellow card he had. If it was all Pardew's tactical acumen, we wouldn't have started the game playing long ball in the first place.

  4. He's a 22 year old who has only played 38 Premier League games and I assume a lot of those might have been as a sub.  It isn't that strange to point out that he might improve with more games and coaching (although probably not here) nor does his current level of ability indicate that he'll never make it.  Players develop at different rates and, given his limited game time, Sammy might be one of those players who develops later than others.

From what I've seen of him, he's pretty raw but he's certainly got talent.  He doesn't look out of place in the Premier League now so I am not sure why he wouldn't be worth persisting with.

Agree here. The improvement needs to come with decision making in that final third. He often seems to do the good thing and then hesitate. It sometimes doesn't even take a good coach to spot that and somehow inspire him to change. Sometimes it just comes naturally with experience, or could even come from an older teammate having a word etc..

Sammy is not miles off being a solid squad winger for us. I would prefer us to have someone better in that position, and relegate Sammy to impact sub status. If he can take his game up a notch or two though, he can be a real asset.

  5. It's such an exasperating situation with this insufferable cunt. When the commentator mentioned that it was his 150th premier league game as manager of Newcastle United, it felt like such a slap in the face.

  6. Rob Elliot is a better goalkeeper than Pardew is a manager. Elliot is a mediocre loathsome prick but we have bigger problems than him.

Can we put the definitions of both 'average' and 'medicore' on the forum banner, please.

Oh aye, put them up please, so that mediocre posters like myself can learn the true meaning of pedantry.

  7. Yep we certainly do.

Some make every excuse for the current regime and are totally complicit in their infestation of NUFC. Blindly toadying along, wearing the wonga tasttic shirts, 'pardew give us a wave' morons.

This 'keeper' should be pelted with abuse everytime the fraud takes to the pitch.

and tgarve. didn't you just do the same?

I apologise unreservedly to the manupstairs for the fucktard remark mind.

However I firmly beleive some of the morons currently 'supporting' NUFC are complicit.

Get onto Facebook, or rather don't, and see some of the s*** man. Just so sick of this f***ing bunch of slimy t***s who are associated with us, and that includes the fraud players we have in the squad.

Go and sing their names if you want.

I'm as against the regime and Pardew as you are. Before branding someone a fucktard and sheep and moron maybe you would do well to actually understand context and not just the words you read. The hatred IS way over the top, but I never claimed it was unjustified. I feel it as much as anyone else. Rather than direct the hate at a player, turn the hate against the manager and the owner. Sitting here laying an egg over a shot that a goalkeeper should have saved is a waste of time and energy. Abuse should always be directed at the c***s responsible for this, namely Pardew and Ashley.

If what you understood from my posts was that I was defending Elliot and by association the regime, then you don't have a clue.

  8. There seems to be some sort of misguided belief that because he makes a few good saves now and then and isn’t throwing the ball over his own line, that he’s worth his place as a substitute Premier League goalkeeper.

Here is some breaking news: goalkeepers who play in League Two also make very good saves on a regular basis. It’s sort of the main job of being a goalkeeper. The chance of even making it into non-league without being able to do that much is next to nil. League Two keepers also don’t necessarily make catastrophic errors on a game-by-game basis.

There are lots of facets to a goalkeeper’s game and Elliot is laughably far from the standard required. He is here because he is mates with the manager and that cretin Woodman.

Agree totally. Still doesn't mean he didn't save the goal last night because "he wasn't arsed" or because he's overweight. The greatest goalkeepers concede soft goals and the most mediocre goalkeepers can pull off stunning saves. I'd say he could have done much better with the goal we lost to West Ham than last night's finish.

  9. People being too harsh on Elliott here like.

In general, no. He's mediocre for PL standard at best and a fucking prick to boot. Too harsh on him for that goal though, especially when the defenders parted like the red sea when the shot came in. Elliot is s*** but its not the reason he didn't save it.

He's better than Brad Jones mind

  10. He tried to save it with his gut. He couldn't even be arsed to stretch his arms out man. Absolute joke and yet there's still some defending him

So what happened when he actually made a good save to deny Ings? Wasn't world class goalkeeping or owt, but this bollocks about him not being arsed is.....well....bollocks. Believe me, I hate the prick, and can't wait for him to fuck off back down to his level, but he really wasn't the only reason we conceded that goal last night. If you call that defending him, then so be it.

  11. Honestly man, the rage over him not saving that goal is OTT. I'm all for OTT irrational hatred for Pards hoop lickers, but fuck me, anyone who sees the replays can see he was unsighted when the ball leaves Boyd's foot. He saw it way too late, and a much more agile goalkeeper would still not have saved it but made the attempt to save it look better than Elliot on account of him being a fat git. Had he seen it earlier then it was most definitely saveable. The replays show that he had defenders in the way who disappeared from in front of the shot. The blame IMO is squarely with the two defenders who moved out the way.

  12. That bit of "defending" towards the end when he gave away a free kick. Imagine if that was Cabella and they scored from it, we'd never see him again.

Yup. I might understand taking Ayoze off at half time, a kid from Spain who wasn't at his best on a cold Tuesday night at Turf Moor (but still posed 100 times more threat than anyone else mind). But I will never understand taking him off while Gouffran stays on the pitch. It is one of those sickening "managerial" decisions and you just knew it was coming.
