  1. Hopefully by the time Cisse is fit to play again, we'll have a new manager in place to give him fresh impetus. Badly needs someone who believes in him to try and claw back the form of 2 years ago.

  2. We're on 46 points. We've been there or thereabouts for a while now. This is turning out very much like last season. We just got the bulk of our 40 odd points in a more condensed period of time early on. The "we're 9th man, where did you expect us to be?" brigade can f*** right off. Make no mistake of it, this season is just as bad as last, if not worse with the probable loss of Cabaye, HBA and Remy all in one go.

  3. Excellent piece. The worst thing is that Newcastle fans should know that better than anyone, we had the Premier League's original and best beacon of positivity in KK, a man who could garner performances through sheer force of personality. Yet we've got so many supporters who buy 100% into Pardew's defeatist bullshit. I don't understand why.

Most "sensible" (relatively sensible) fans I've spoken to who sympathize with this defeatist mindset say it comes from a "once bitten twice shy" point of view. We had a promising start to our PL years under Keegan, and came up short. Again under SBR we looked like we were on the verge of something spectacular, and again failed to deliver. Seems to me that some fans are utterly convinced that we have found our level with Ashley and Pardew and have no right to aim higher. Makes me f***ing sick.

  4. The argument of "he's a professional, therefore he knows best" only works in a world where all professionals in a particular field do things exactly the same.

    Football managers don't.

3-0 down at home to Man Utd a couple weeks back. Shola Ameobi preparing to come on the pitch to replace Gouffran with barely a few minutes to play. I know it's a minute detail, extremely small in the grand scheme of things, but to this day, this incredibly baffling decision fills me with fucking rage when I think about it. This seemingly irrelevant decision perfectly summarizes and epitomizes just how clueless and out of his depth P***ew is. Was Shola coming back from injury and needed a few minutes run out to test an ankle now that the game was lost? No. Did Shola have a knack for grabbing a goal in a super-sub type role? Maybe he could grab a consolation goal as some sort of "apology" to the fans for a shambolic home performance? No. Was Shola brought on to showcase his talents to future suitors - in the shop window - type thing? What could he showcase in about 4 minutes? Was Shola brought on because he was our only fit sub and had to replace a badly injured player who'd come off with an awful injury? No.

There was absolutely no reason on earth why Shola fucking Ameobi (bless his heart) should have been used as a sub in that manner, at that timing, in said match and circumstance. Anyone who was unsure as to whether P***ew was anything but a fraudulent charlatan mascarading as a "football" manager, desecrating the great name of NUFC, insulting its fanbase, and ripping its heart out of any ambition and optimism, should be left without a shred of doubt as to what he really is based on this seemingly harmless innocent substitution.

    Fuck off.

  5. Absolutely love Shola the man. Mixed feelings about the footballer. Some wonderful/hilarious memories. Thanks for gouging out a few mackem eyes old chap, but please fuck off now.

  6.

Did he honestly get put out wide? f***ing hell

What was weird was Ben Arfa came on at the same time and went up front.

Typical pards then, pathetic stuff as per usual

 did that really happen?? I didn't watch the "match" after seeing that starting line-up. Fuck me I'm so glad I didn't waste my time on that crap.

  7. It is a difficult question but not sure which one is worse. They are both despicable individuals and s**** in their own way.

I despised souness but he actually does talk a decent game compared to pardew.

I still think Souness was worse.

Top 5 club, really good squad (which he actively went to dismantle), given a load of money and never achieved what Pardew did with less "sovereign states".

Pardew may be a coward and a c*** but Souness took incompetence to new levels.

I hated Souness, but he's infinitely more likeable than Pardew.

  8. He's an excellent player. One you would like to think could/should be ours by now, but he won't be.

Appreciate him for keeping us up, and hate him for saving Pardew's bacon.

  9. I want a foreign manager who'll bring a set of coaches with him.  Absolutely sick of the coaches we've had done the years and not once we've tried to hire someone from europe.

    Dean Saunders man

  10. And back down south he goes.  Been spotted on a flight to Heathrow apparently.

Wonderful. Pretty obvious how concerned this knacker is about his own position and the current plight of NUFC. If our next home match is anything short of a rallying cry for war against this cunt and Ashley, then we will have failed ourselves. We have now somewhat got the media's attention and we need to consolidate our position/process/the wind/loic and cabaye/etc...

  11. Now's the perfect time to be giving the kids a chance. Nowt to play for, and the established players are doing f*** all anyway.

 fuck off with that common sense man. do you have coaching badges? do u pose a fret? do u have a bit of a winning mentality that we all know about? are u a beast of a manager? no. al pards would eat u for breakfast

Can a Geordie then Mackem become a born-again Geordie? Could be a replacement for Gosling.

    :anguish: colback :anguish:

Would rather go for Ki ...looks a very good player even playing in a s**** team like Sunderland...... he would cost money which pretty much rules that out.

He's a brilliant midfielder, but I get the feeling he's a confidence player, and Al Pards will have none of that. He'd ruin him in about 2 weeks.

    brilliant? He's alright, like

Maybe I should have said he's brilliant at what he does. Keeping the ball moving, dictating the rhythm around him. He's not an all-round midfielder by any means. Very similar to Anita with slightly better attacking emphasis, and slightly worse defensive dexterity.
