Borini is on loan, probably some fee involved though. Can't believe he is still only 22 mind. Might be worth a punt if Liverpool don't want him and he is available at a decent price. Not exactly prolific but looks a decent player.

Regardless of how much I hate LFC and all the bollocks that comes with it (I've hated them more than the mackems for many many years), I must say I would love to see THIS TEAM win the title for the sake of football. It would be a testament to how well you can do when you put together a good manager, back him with a good squad, playing good football, and get the fans behind the whole thing - and not on a sovereign state budget. This time I won't give a toss how their fans behave, as they would have every right to be smug to win the title despite Chelski and Abu Dhabi City.

Sounds like I made a good choice not watching this match. It was the first time in my 20 odd years supporting the club that I had made a conscious choice not to watch the game and spend a leisurely Saturday afternoon doing something else. House of Cards season 2 is amazing, and we are shit.

Personally i'd take Caulker over Shawcross at the moment, but Shawcross is the more experienced CB so would be happy with either one as long as it meant we didn't have to see Taylor in our back line anymore.

Well at least he's an eloquent speaker who obviously understands what it means to communicate effectively with fans from the couple of interviews I've just seen. Just looked at the table, and they've only lost 3 times so far this season. Not bad at all in a huge division.

For reference, Altidore is dead to me as soon as this 2 week International break ends and he ends back up in Sunderland.
Sorry like, I was reporting what I saw in the flesh last night. He runs around a lot, but has zero effectiveness as a forward. The way he was played last night he looked to me like a very modest battering ram who has no clue what to do once the ball has come to him. He does give a mean lay off, but offered nothing else. To be fair, the US were absolutely woeful going forward in general.
As someone mentioned (Deuce?) that Johansson looked quite handy coming on, and I remember him getting hold of a first time volley that was blocked on the line? His movement alone when he came on caused Ukraine a lot more problems than Altidore did the entire match.

At the Ukraine vs USA match in Larnaca right now. 1-0 to Ukraine who are playing really well - Tymoschuk, Zozulia and the number 7 on the right who got the goal. Konoplianka is by far motm so far though. Liverpool will have a very good player on their hands if they get him.
As for the US, Dempsey and Onyewu have been pretty good. Altidore is f***ing s***. Really really s***. Built like a shithouse and nowt else.
We must be watching different matches. Dempsey has consistently turned the ball over and Onyewu has been beaten several times. He only looks good next to the young kid Brooks, who's been woeful. Altidore hasn't done anything, good or bad. He's been a non-factor.
Kono and Yarmo have been really good for Ukraine.
Altidore has ducked out of several challenges and looks on a different planet to his teammates. Apart from a couple of neat lay offs at the start he's missed every ball. Tim Howard is totally in charge of his defence though. Hasn't shut up all match.
I'm sat with the Ukraine fans 5th row up to the left of the dug out from my pov. I'm bald, fat and wearing a black puma hoodie. Let's see if we can have another oldtype forum moment

Yarmalenko scored, plays for Kiev, is their best player along with Konoplyanka.
Aye figured it was him but he's on the far side to me at the moment and the announcer spoke in Ukrainian so couldn't make out the name.
