  1. His attitude and performances have been decent. Some good efforts on goal and I think when Cabaye comes back from injury he will get better service and start scoring again.

    Cabaye back from injury ???

    Think he meant Jonas.

  2. Maybe if the players could see a method behind the madness (or shiteness) that is Pardew's management, they would still be up for it knowing the club was going places. Was plotting to build. Some sort of footballing philosophy that could attract some good players in the future (within our budget). Maybe they'd buy into what the manager had to say, and remain motivated for the rest of the season. Maybe if he would play some of the youth, and give the seniors the responsibility of looking after them in matches, it might motivate one or two of the senior characters in the squad. As it is, Shola Ameobi comes on 3-0 down with 5 minutes left.

As far as the clear and present evidence on the football pitch, since this fraud took over (bar the 433 run of 6 or 7 games which has never been implemented correctly since then), it's obvious that his ad hoc approach to player management, and apparent extensive detail on how to stop the opposition, is not something any of the players enjoy, and it's been obvious to them that it will take us nowhere.

Football is about enjoyment. For the players and the fans alike. Our players certainly are NOT enjoying their football at all, and in turn, neither are the fans. Successful managers are....successful...because they understand this very simple equation. Pardew is a selfish chancer with no class, and a massive ego that has no justification whatsoever. It's not only that his football is rotten, HE himself is a rotten individual.

  3. Another "player" I use the term loosely who offers nothing on the books.

Can anyone actually describe what this guys excels at?

Nothing. Nothing at all. He's not even good at anything in particular either.

  4. How is he not good enough to play for us? Who is good enough to play for us? Are they already on our books or will we have to buy them? How muh will they cost? Will we be better off spending the money on improvements elsewhere? ect

I'm the first to admit that I do like Cisse, I don't think he's a poor forward and even when he's not scoring goals he's decent up top when motivated, which he currently seems to be. He needs to regain some goalscoring form, and without it he's not worth his starting role but I'm really uneasy with fans being willing to just flog him when he's arguably the best striker that we actually own. Bring in a new manager, keep Remy, bring in another forward for him to work alongside and we're still a far better outfit across 3 competitions with Cisse in the squad.

    I'm not advocating we buy any of these players just to be clear but I think they are preferable to Cisse;

Carroll, Benteke, Long, Jelavic, Lambert, Rodriguez etc.

We will probly end up having to keep him due to how poorly our club is ran

But all things being equal I don't personally I don't feel he has the required attributes to take us forward

This argument about "can't create anything for himself" is just irksome. Surely you would want a well-functioning TEAM effort to get the service to the striker(s) whomever they may be. If Cisse was slightly capable of creating something for himself, and scored one or two goals in the last few games, it would just paper over massive gaping cracks (Loic Remy does, and we're still a s*** team with him on the pitch).

The pont is simple he can't do a lot of things.

He can't hold it up well

    He can't run in behind

    He can't link play well

Its not about him creating chances for himself its about fitting in to a overall structure.

Tactically if you select Cisse you are limiting yourself as you have to make him the focal point of the team and IMO he's not good enough to fill this roll.

Cisse in our current shambolic set up doesn't do any of the above things you mention. That is true. But even if he could, it would paper over some massive gaping cracks.

  6. We need to go back to 433, and get the best out of our players. One or two clever additions in the summer and we'll be mint.

    Gouffran        Borini      Cisse

    Cisse must stay.

  7. This guy is f***ing useless.

Up front he is. Not on the wing though. There's a sparkle in his eyes when he gets it on the touchline, robs a defender or two of their anal virginity with his blistering pace, and puts in a pin-point cross on the head of a late-arriving Vurnon Anita.

 Its the consistency with which he does it that impresses.

 If only Vurn Anits wasn't such a woeful footballer. Cisse on the wing is the future.

  8. The one bright spot from yesterday's nightmare. Superb selection by Al Pards. Love those dinked forward balls out to the wingers. Really gives the ballboys a chance to see the opposition superstars close up (e.g. Evra) take a mean throw-in.

  9. This guy is f***ing useless.

  10. "If you take a personality out of the dressing room when you have a small team it's going to have an effect."

"I'm looking forward to having some impact in there."

"Put on top my personality - which we all know is a little bit of a winning mentality - and I want to make sure we want to win."

    - Alan Pardew, 2014.

A little bit of a winning mentality. That'll do for Mike Ashley

Please tell me that's a joke quote, he hasn't really said that surely.

 Where have you been? He said that after the Everton game.

  11. Right. That's it. Enough is enough. This game has convinced me that Al Pards isn't the right man for this job.

It took this f***ing long? Or are you joking...serious question....

Has to be a joke.

 I'm just stumped man. It's gotten personal now between pards and myself. I never wanted him here, never accepted him, and wanted him gone since the first cringeworthy interview he gave that fateful December. He is by FAR the worst manager we've had in my 23 years supporting the club. It hurts.

  12. "We lacked creativity" is him trying to shunt blame to the Cabaye sale and non-replacement. A bit more concise than "We struggle to keep possession, there is little movement when we do have the ball, and any movement present is sporadic and uncoordinated. These have been constant problems under my management and that's why we struggle to create scoring chances. Oh, I've ostracised my most technically gifted player, just to make things worse."

    Or perhaps less self-damning...

Notable how many factors he leaves to fate or chance. A trait that separates a good manager from a mediocre one like him. The least he could do is reintegrate the player who most masks his mediocrity.

Very good post. Who the hell are you?

  13. Without wanting to do an Ian or a Bret and prescribe straw-man opinions to "the forum" or "people on here" : as far as I can tell a lot of the people who support Pardew and argue that rolling the dice with an Ashley appointment is too much of a risk, are the same people that argue that ousting Ashley is too much of a risk as there are "lot's of worse owners and bad men out there".

These people literally want to do nothing NOTHING about the sad situation Newcastle United football club is in. In fact, they mostly actively try to keep the s*** situation exactly as it is by 1) Going to the matches 2) Discouraging others from not going to the matches 3) Going to great lengths to point out that the situation is "not that bad" by producing graphs or saying things have always been bad/worse than they are now.

Surely everyone agrees that the current situation is s*** and that the Ashley/Pardew combo is a cancer wasting away years of the clubs life in mediocrity and apathy. Yet some look forward to being applauded and admired, years from now, for the valiant and courageous way that they ate they s*** they were served up 'with a smile and a wave'.

Tbh in my experience, I've found that a lot of Pardew's supporters want Ashley out, and for a good owner to come in and "let Pards manage". They think he's some sort of incapacitated genius waiting to unleash his outstanding managerial skills under a better owner.

  14. Being linked with the french players isn't even fun anymore. Proves that we're "un-earthing" f*** all. We're just going after players who have had some sort of success in the french league that we may not have heard about as much. Would be good to sign properly scouted players from other random leagues. The last proper "gem" that we discovered was probably Tiote?

Players the press link us with doesnt prove anything to be honest, 99% are made up.

Of course they are. But the reason the press makes up this shit is because we only seem to be looking in France based on the last 2 or 3 transfer windows.

  15. It would be criminal now if they fluke an escape. Imagine the wankfest they will have and all the superlatives s*** they will come up with if they escape.

looking at the fixtures- they could be 7-10 points adrift in a couple of weeks.

Aye that's the only thing keeping them headed for the drop. If the fixture list was in the opposite order, I could see them getting a few results to put pressure on the dross around them. It's a bit like Wigan last year who just couldn't make up the ground despite having the games in hand.

  17. Interesting to see the stick Sherwood is getting in the media this morning. Why and how does Pardew continue to escape any scrutiny?

Is it because Spurs were expected to challenge for top 4, while we were expected to achieve jack all?

    Really pissing me off now.

    Very very good point.
