Christ, are we trying to loan more than 2 players? Cracking idea that.
Dubravka doesn't play in the PL

I like Crumpy but I find his opinion on Rafa bizarre to say the least. I guess we're all wrong about managers sometimes.
Still going for redemption eh? I admire your persistence sir

Latest Douglas article says he's been told we have interest in a striker in Germany. He seemed sceptical...
Hopefully Davie Selke. Not that we would get him, but I for one would be honored to "fall for it" for one day.

Quincy Promes. 26 years old, 58 in 114 for Spartak Moscow

Still waiting on the pull of a top manager like Benitez to work in our favour.
Well it's certainly not going to work when the player in question is a lazy, unmotivated, self-obsessed flake.
-
Holy shit...it's already happening

I'm at the stage now where I would have a little smile if Rafa packed in today, just ends my misery and confirms relegation.
Knowing our luck we would stay up by some miracle and dim-witted fans like the few we have on here will have a field day telling us how it was always Rafa's fault we struggled.
-
This could be Ashley's biggest gamble yet.
Question is, why do we keep falling for it?
Define "we"?
If you mean the fans then it makes no difference if we fall for it or not. The only thing it affects is opinions on social media and message boards.

I’m assuming we won’t go completely silent this early. I’m guessing there’ll be some sort of token attempt at a striker. Any predictions on who it’ll be to falsely get our hopes up today?
Iheanacho
Slimani
Deeney
Ings
Chicharito
Is Joel Campbell still at Real Betis?
You can add Peter Crouch to that list

A pleasure? Do you watch NUFC?Bye Rafa. It was a pleasure while it lasted.
Deserves so much better than this s****.
You deserve Mike Ashley
-
They're deliberately trying to relegate us, right? There's no other conceivable explanation.
Unfortunately this looks like the best explanation.
-
Entirely possible that Dean has good things to say about Pardew.
Not sure if he ever played for Rafa when he was still at Chelsea but he will probably know the hard work asked of him. He's bottled it IMO.
-
Aye but one boss is an utter coward and a classless f*** nugget and the other is a classy, meticulous genius.
Sturridge is f***ing idiot.
This is true, without a shadow of a doubt.
-
Daniel is better than Kelechi, though it doesn’t matter since Michael and Lee will make sure we don’t get either.
-
how is Rafa still here, f***ing hell man
He's a stoic professional doing his job. Not sure I'd want him kicking and screaming and hoying toys out the pram tbh.
-
This guy willingly chose West Brom?!
It's close to where he is from and from looking at us from the outside, even with Rafa, we are a club 'run' by Mike Ashley.
Would you join us ?
Pardew has probably told him exactly what Ashley is like, hence the change of mind.
Dude it's only a loan till the end of the season. He must be absolutely mad!
It's the kind of decision I'd expect an English guy to make though. Pardew would have been sucking up to him, and he's probably got mates at West Brom.
Completely daft.
Yup. Pards probably called him "Dan the Man" in the first 5 seconds which sealed the deal. The player will have looked at both managers and thought, "fuck this, at least I can wing it with that other clown".

Or maybe he's a spineless fraud who's still living off of the glory of that season when they won the second place title. Spineless frauds tend to identify with one another.

Family in the area
Makes sense as he'll want them around for company when stays home most days due to, you know, being injured.
-
Can't believe people are actually turning their noses up at Sturridge in our position.
No one's turning their nose up. What use is he however if he were to make about 3 appearances for us and spend the rest of the time injured?
If those 3 appearances are wins for us then every use.
Don't get me wrong, a fit Sturridge would instantly be our best player so I'm all for it (bling and swag and stupid dance aside).

No one's turning their nose up. What use is he however if he were to make about 3 appearances for us and spend the rest of the time injured? His dreadful fitness record is a genuine concern, but I'm fairly certain Rafa will have dug deep to know enough if he's strong enough to play at least 10 games for us.
-
Sturridge loan, keeper loan, that brazilian wizard for 15M, with Mitrovic sold and Woodman+Aarons loaned out.
That's what I'm expecting because I quite like mIKE aSHLEY and I reckon he wants the best for us NUFC fans.
-
We'll probably loan him only to find out he's completely finished.
He is IMO (mentally at least).
Obviously if he comes here I'll swallow cumloads of humble pie if he scores enough goals to keep us up.

It’s just f***ing lies at this point in proceedings. Just finishing the spinning process to the gullible fans to give the illusion of effort. He’s not going to sell the club and he’s got no intention of investing either, he’s a proven liar, c*** and absolute piece of s***. Please don’t get your hopes up, nothing that will move the club forward is going to happen this week, this year or this decade until he either dies or sells up. Forget it.
I'm in total agreement with this midds. The thing is though, is there really anyone left in our fanbase who is placated by the illusion of effort? Apart from one or two idiots on social media, and the likes of Simon Jordan, no one falls for this effort anymore. I'm sure Ashley knows this by now and it still leaves me wondering what the end game is for him.

Did it look like an emotional send-off when he was subbed off?
