  1. Sometimes the support or the blind belief in Rafa is really horrible. How can you support the idea of keeping a player when everyone including him knows you don't want him to be here? And rely on him when we have injury crisis? Oh yea f***ing professional he must be. Not strengthening our rivals? When we badly need money for bringing in a striker or goalkeeper? No.10? Or you truely believe his value will rocket after six months of frozen out?

Come on man. Supporting Rafa as our manager doesn't mean we need to portrait everything he done is right.

That's a very short-sighted view. None of us know what has gone on and why Rafa won't give Mitro a chance. What we do know is that we finally have a manager with a spine and integrity, and who knows what he's doing. The man is so meticulous about everything he does so he must have a good reason to not want Mitrovic in the team. I'll support the manager blindly (even when he makes mistakes) because of the sum of everything he brings to the club and not for one or two isolated incidents.

  2. f*** me, the amount of money the TV deal brings in and we won't pay the £20m asking price for our first choice target. Pay the money and move on.

Yup. Plus, it's not like we need to start winning games ASAP, starting with Burnley at home. So it's not like whoever the new striker is, he'll need to come in and get some fucking training and instructions under his belt ASAP.

    Fucking cunts.

  3. Maybe the club shouldn't have leaked to the press that we were going after a 20m rated player in the hopes that we'd all spaff our kegs, if they didn't want to actually pay said 20m.

I'm in awe of how stupid we are to the point where I'm still unconvinced that Jorgensen is our actual target, and is nothing but a smokescreen for the real target we're going for.

Hope is a hell of a drug.

  4. Those quotes  :smitten: We're seriously lucky to have him!

f*** off Mike Ashley - you fat bellend!

This. He can get his lineups, formations and subs wrong as much as he wants. He'll do for me like.

The sun does indeed shine out of his arse, and anyone who doesn't think so can get a fucking sunburn.

  5. I hope this doesn't end up being one of his N'gog or Riera type gambles.

He signed some utter s**** at Liverpool.

But when he gets it right, he really gets it right - Alonso, Torres, Mascherano, Reina.

Mate I dont need reminding.  I was around.  No disrespect but im guessing you were six. My Dad and brother are Liverpool fans. So its something I know and hear a lot about.

Back in them days, they had one of the best midfielders in the world who could play the game on his own, Gerrard. Rafa was extremely lucky to have that Liverpool side when Gerrard was around. But to be honest thats no disrespect to what Rafa did while he was there. He signed some howlers but equally he got some really good players through the doors.

I was only pointing out, he did sign some poor players. I can eat my thoughts if this lad is good, I have honesty never heard of him.

And for me thats quite a thing as I usually have knowledge of quite a few leagues, but this guy and the German link, I really have not a clue. But ???

Do you not think Rafa himself knows it as well?

  6. Dummett away from home when we're going to be set up to do what we did at City. Kenedy in games like the ones we had against Brighton and Swansea where we need more going forward from full-back.

Came in here thinking exactly this. Otherwise he'll be rotated with Atsu, Murphy and Ritchie further up the pitch.

  7. Shelvey isn't a deep-lying CM in my opinion. He should be playing in a more advanced position but he lacks the athleticism and desire to be effective. He's blessed with a ton of talent he can't really use. If we can swindle WH out of anything north of 18M it would be a good deal. Great deal if we can replace with someone more effective to us in this side (even if less talented than Shelvey).

He doesn't have the agility to play further forward, which is why it's never really happened.

Yes exactly, which is why he'll never fulfil his true potential. He'll always float around bottom-midtable clubs pumping hollywood balls until he got sussed out - rinse and repeat.

  9. Just realised I share a birthday with him. From being completely 'meh' about this, I now think he's the second coming. (I was the first).

That would be your dad tbf.
