  1. Maher, Wijnaldum, Depay, Narsingh, Bakkali. They have an insane amount of talent..

They do. Was disappointed Bakkali didn't make this match. Was looking forward to seeing him after all the hype.

Also include Zoet in that list. Looks a very talented keeper.

    Rumoured we are/were after him.

Aye I know. Would be a shame to sit him on the bench though. Already looks the part for his age.

  3. PSV - Milan is a belter of a match.

Some beautiful stuff being played by PSV, and Milan are counter attacking with so much class. Memphis, Matavz, Maher, Wijnaaldum and Zoet for PSV. Abate, Balotelli and Shaarawy for Milan. All have been excellent.

  4. Spurs are far more likeable now Redknapp isn't there, tbh.

That, and the fact we're nowhere near going toe-to-toe with them anymore.

Having AVB there makes me like them a bit now tbh. I hate that I do, but I think he's a class manager and a triffic bloke.

  5. I used to really dislike Spurs but lately, they are the model PL club, and I for one would far rather see them winning things than any of the other so-called top 4. They are very ambitious without being silly and they seem to know when to sell a player and when to get rid of a manager. Everything about them seems to work.

Its amazing that only a few years back, they were perennial strugglers who we would regularly either thrash or beat. A club who would even lose out to us when it come to signings.

Today, they are CL material in very single way and we are bottom half PL material in every single way.

    Thanks Mike!

    c***..

Sort of looks like you've signed off your post "c***" there mind.

  6. Not sure playing MYM and Colo in central defence is a good idea against a Fat Sam side tbh. Wouldn't suprise me if Pardew plays Moke alongside Colo and MYM in midfield with Tiote and Sissoko. Think Pardew will be deeply concerned about height (even though Carroll's out). Shola will feature as well imo.

They have more than enough about them (Colo and MYM) to deal with Nolan and whoever else they put up there. It's the supply lines we need to be stopping. Jarvis, Downing and Cole.

  7. I get the feeling they want to sell him because he's rebelled in one way or another against Pardew and the owner. If there was a dressing room revolt last season I wouldn't be surprised if he led it.

You are probably close to the truth with this - club is rotten to the core.

This theory doesn't work if no one bid for him like.

If he is sold for a relative cut price, say 15m or less, then be sure that they wanted rid. IMO.

  8. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/fulham/10253461/Darren-Bent-I-was-kicked-out-of-Aston-Villa-but-Fulham-deal-can-help-me-get-in-England-World-Cup-squad.html

“It’s been a long, long summer,” said Bent, who moved to Villa from Sunderland for a club record £18 million in January 2011. “There’s been a lot of speculation about where I was going to go and where I was going to play my football, but it was Fulham who did the most work in getting me to the club and that’s why I’m their player.

Dear me.. Reading between the lines he was desperate to come here but we just weren't bothered until it was too late.

Not like it matters, we can't create so Bent would be just as useless as Cisse was tonight.

Definitely need a striker who can hold off defenders.

Sell Cabaye and use that money to bring in Dickie Lambert. Exactly what we need imo.

  9. He's continuously been tripe man.

No he hasn't. Not when he's played in and around the forward half of the center circle. He's not some talentless slob we picked up from a random no mark club in a dodgy deal ffs. There is a player in there. Not a spectacular one, but one who is a certain type of midfielder who needs used in the right way.

  10. I get the feeling they want to sell him because he's rebelled in one way or another against Pardew and the owner. If there was a dressing room revolt last season I wouldn't be surprised if he led it.

  11. Played the full-back position better than anyone I've seen do for us in recent years. Too early to judge the quality of his play, but at least he's shown that he understands what being a full-back means.

  12.

Pardew has certainly lost the dressing room and in that respect even JFK would be an improvement. Although I'm not sure if he wouldn't be any respect.

This was clear to see at 0-3 and 0-6 imo. What was particularly alarming last night wasn't the performance, we knew what that would be like, but the displays of petulance in the first half. Cisse, Yanga-Mbiwa, Sissoko, Debuchy and Taylor were all at it. We're one game into the new season and we've got a seriously disgruntled group of players. I'm worried.

    This

They know we're going nowhere with him in charge.

  13. Well that was wonderful. f*** me.

Krul was top class overall. Question marks over the wall he set up and his positioning for the FK.

    Debuchy woeful.

    Taylor woeful.

Coloccini looked good and bad in phases. Can't lead his players when there is no game plan.

Mbiwa was hit and miss. Much much much better at CB.

    Sissoko was meh.

    Tiote was meh (an improvement).

Jonas played well in small confined spaces, but HE'S NOT A f***ing WINGER FFS.

HBA never really got going. Some lovely touches and turns as per.

Gouffran was our best outfield player imo. He showed for it every single time, and linked up play extremely well. Had to drop too deep at times, but I got the feeling he was the only one trying to do the right things.

Cisse isolated, and ineffectual. Nothing new there.

Anita and Dummett were alright, but the game was gone by then.

Sammy Ameobi over Marveaux ffs. Get him out on loan please.

Pardew and Carver haven't got a clue. Ashley must clear the decks today.

  14. There is absolutely no fight, no organization, and not a shred of intelligence about our play. If that's what "the lads are ready" means, then jah help us.

    Pardew GTFO.

  15. Nevermind, it was Dumett(sp?) I was thinking about. He's on a month long loan anyway. I guess Haidara will be LB cover if MYM isn't available.

    Dummet is not on loan.

  16. Beaten all the "big teams" ffs. f*** off, f*** off, f*** off. This is not FA Cup third round weekend and we are not Accrington Stanley.

 Can't help but get really irritated by comments like that, no matter how hard I try to ignore him and accept that we are stuck with him. Such comments are actually him admitting his incompetence, and it was as if we'd fluked beating the "big teams".
