  1. There's a lot of people wasting a lot of time typing the same stuff over and over now. Just accept he's not very good and wait for him to get sacked like I am.

You're right. So fucking disheartening though man.

  2. I just can't have any faith in the man, regardless of what is being said.

The evidence on the pitch suggests that he's standing on the edge of the training pitch shouting "Ah well lads try again - you know what they say, 1000th time's a charm"

Being the lazy t*** that I am on a lazy Sunday morning, I read through the very first Pardew thread.

Really amazing that this c*** is still here. Barring a few cheeky sarcastic edits from some posters after we finished 5th, the vast majority of fans were 100% spot on being so worried at this appointment. He brings nothing positive to the club. Nothing but lies, excuses and negativity. He is so way out of his depth it's frightening that he is partly responsible for a multi-million pound business.

Also, a lot of the rhetoric he spouted upon his appointment focused on youth development. It was apparently part of his mandate. Not that I'm very clued up on the subject, but he just doesn't seem to have anything to do with any kind of youth development/recruitment strategy at the club?

Can't wait for the day we are rid of him, one way or another.

  3. Hatem's best position has always been out wide. Jonas and Obertan ffs.

His best position is not wide in a 4-4-2. It's wide in a 4-3-3. There's a massive difference in roles.

    100%

  4. Have they strengthened their defence in any way this summer? With Carragher retiring, doubt over Skrtel, Agger's fitness problems and Coates seemingly not wanted by Rodgers, it's the one area I thought they would address. To my knowledge they have done nothing to that end. Going forward they are very good now IMO, with or without Suarez.

    Kolo Toure was signed.

That's right. Forgot about him. So he's most likely to be Carragher's replacement. Still need a "marquee" player to partner Agger.

They still have Skirtel, i assume if he went then another defender would come in.

By all accounts he wasn't himself last season, and earlier seemed to be on his way out.

  7. "We have a standard at Liverpool that I will fight for my life to retain," he said. "There will never be any player or person bigger than the club.

"In terms of the remarks that were made, this is a football club that has always worked in a certain way.

"The Liverpool Way is all about a club with ambition, a club that strives to be the very best, a club that is about commitment. That means that everyone is committed to the cause of fighting for the shirt.

"It's also about dignity and being dignified in how you speak about the club, on and off the field, and it's about unity.

"Those are the four values that run through my mind when I think about Liverpool. Those are the values we will always retain. If anyone steps outside of that standard, I will deal with it. That's something that we'll do."

Makes it sound like a f***ing cult.

It is. They believe in their entitlement bollocks down to the core. Yes they are a massively supported club worldwide but that's because of their past success. Their relative failure in recent times is never down to them as a club. It's always external factors such as Alex Ferguson, the FA, Howard Webb etc..

Makes for nauseating reading that article above.

  8. I'd play Anita with Cabaye and Sissoko. Anita playing the "quarter back" position starting the attacks spraying the ball around like he used to do when he played at Ajax. Sissoko box to box and Cabaye in a bit more advanced position. Cabaye might not have the dribbling and powerful running but im sure he will still do really well there with Sissoko doing more of the running from midfield. That would give us great balance in midfield.

This doesn't mean that they can't switch during the game. But at least it's good basics to start from. Im confident that with this setup we'd be much much much better in possession and therefore not put under pressure as often as usual cause we can't keep hold of the f***ing ball for more than

5 seconds. f***ing annoying that the c*** in charge can't let the players do what they are best at instead of forcing them to do stuff that isn't their strongest attributes.

And that the snake prefers butchers and hard working players thinking that it will keep it tight instead of focusing on the players and what their strengths are. Attacking and defending as a unit, having some natural flow and movement. You don't drive a F1 car in the f***ing woods!

So frustrating knowing that he won't go for it, the massive mug that he is.

                                      Cisse

              Remy                                          HBA

                            Sissoko    Cabaye

                                      Anita

If I thought we were going to set up like this I'd be so excited for the season. As it is I'm full of  :anguish:

 our best current line up imo

  9. Fuck me. Two detestable clubs squabbling over the same detestable cunt. I really hope he moves to Arsenal, so the Liverpool fans can see him for what he really is and so that I can hate Arsenal again like I used to.

  10. Quite chilled now this has gone through, Gomis deal can play out, no rush. Just not like me at all, guess all expectations have been stamped out of me and I feel anything coming in is a bonus.

    I know.

Supporting NUFC, whether physically or just in cyberthingy, has become such a chore.

We really should have a "martyr of the year award" to acknowledge the poor soul who has had to endure the most.

IanW by a mile. Or Mike.

  11. Will be gutted if Stewie was sold for that amount.

An absolute shithouse of a player, but still worth more than 5M in today's market.

    Must be his 75K/week wages.

Why? Because it will mean that LFC and Queen Kenny are not the only mugs that would pay over the odds for him? I hope you get stuck with him for the rest of his contract, or sell him for 750k next summer.

  12. Used to do what, angry man?

He had a reasonably competent manager at Twente who used him in exactly the right way - on the bench.

Not arguing that he should be an automatic starter. Certainly not on his form all of last season and large parts of the season we finished 5th. But he did have some incredible performances when tactically, he was needed (Man Utd 3-0 at home comes to mind). Not sure if you would bin him entirely because you think he's hopeless or not. I just disagree that he's a player "we'll go nowhere" with.

  13. Tiote in a nutshell. We'll go nowhere with such players.

Utter bollocks. On current form he shouldn't be starting for us, in a position I'd agree that we don't need to find a place for in every game. But he's not hopeless by any means, and can be useful if used in the right way by a competent manager.

  14. I haven't seen enough to comment.... i do agree with this though.

Intrigued by replies. A lot asking about Santon. Surely the position should go to the player performing better? If that's Dummett so be it

    Mark Douglas ‏@MsiDouglas 13m

Think that was the problem last year. Too many knew they'd be starting regardless of performances. That's never good.

IMO if he's good enough, he's old enough. Full back however is one of the most sensitive positions to throw an inexperienced lad in the deep end. As has been said though, some youngsters actually thrive on the responsibility. Would be wonderful is he was one of those.

  15. The options if we get Remy as well in midfield and attack will be immense.

Definitely, it's the ability to stretch a defence with real pace.

This is why we shouldn't have been faffing about in the off-season. We are just over a whisker away from having a very dangerous first 11 that can produce some serious results on its day. Getting Remy and Gomis in, and keeping Cisse and the rest, will transform our football and results somewhat by default.

  16. Sorry like, but for the way it conducts itself as a collective, Liverpool Football Club is the biggest laughing stock anywhere. Not enough facepalms in the world for how far up themselves they are.
