Was probably a ploy to drive down the price for Bent.
They now know we are willing to pay £5m for a 30 year old. Not exactly a great plan.
5 million is alright for Bent I suppose, if their original asking price was in the region of 8 million.

Best 2 days of my life were in August 2009 when I attended SJP for the first time, and watched PJ live in Manc town for the first time as well. Unforgettable.

Would hate to see him leave, really like watching him play and he's probably got the best eye for a pass in our whole squad (Cisse vs Anzhi, Cisse v.s Fulham both spring to mind).
Best of the lot was his assist to Ba against Arsenal. Sublime pass that was.

This is a strange one kid looked like he had ability but I guess the club look for a hell of a lot more,
Mind you I am not convinced by Willie Donachie the reserve and youth teams seemed to be flying until he came in. I am sure the players being told to move on are on his recommendation.
Probably the worst kind of coach to have for that level of football. Youth players and reserves need massive injections of enthusiasm and inspiration to keep them going, to improve, and to persist in the hope that one day they too will make it. Donachie strikes me as one of the most boring and least inspirational cunts around.

Why would it mean the club is being sold? I'm going to ask this in every thread until someone comes up with a reason!
Maybe the JFK circus act is a giant smokescreen while new suitors conduct DD? I'm not basing it on anything other than a nagging feeling. It's just too surreal, and I'm quite probably too naive to believe that this is the way NUFC will be run going into the new season.
