You can't just put Ferguson straight into the team, in a derby game, in his first Premier League start for us. We did with Jenas pretty much (granted he'd had a few games under his belt at Forest in Division One) and he ran the show. True, but wasn't that against a team on the verge of setting a record low points total in the PL? Situations are a bit different this time.

what a sad bitter little bellend he truly is. I worked with him for a little while and he wasn't very well liked then either. I remember a few seasons ago MOTD2 were interviewing him in his shitty little office and the walls were just full of anti-Newcastle posters etc

I must say one of my favourite memories of his time in charge was that brilliant comeback against Bristol City at Ashton Gate! At 0-2 it looked like we were out of it but that was some spirit the team showed. The sheer relief and joy after that equaliser was just amazing. Made me really proud to support the black and white shirt!

We were playing Stevenage- not Man Utd. Its a game we should have won and there's no escaping that. We were just woeful.

His comments on Ranger were pretty disgraceful IMO. You just know Ranger won't get a game now, even if it's the best thing for the club. Nice to see he's making enemies already.

If Pardew plays the same team or formation as he did today then well, quite frankly, its up to us to kill Ashley.

Wouldn't be surprised if he tries to shift the likes of Williamson in the summer. But as has been pointed out, the amount of long balls we play up to Carroll is just so infuriating. It's not the Newcastle United way.

A loss here is totally unacceptable. If we lose this then the heat will be cranked up a notch on Pardew whether people like it or not. I'd go with: Krul Simpson Williamson Colo Jose Barton Tiote Nolan Jonas Carroll Ranger A draw will be OK as long as we beat West Ham. Think we'll throw it away and get a 1-1.
