We'll get fucking smashed if we play anything like today. Really don't even want to think about this. I'd probably go for something along the lines of: -------------------Krul------------------------ ---Simpson----Taylor---Campbell----Jose--- ----Rout-----Barton----Tiote------Jonas -------------------Nolan---------------- ------------------Carroll-------------

Utterly disgraceful performance. I feel embarrassed by that. I am really, really angry because of this....such a pathetic performance. We weren't interested from the first whistle- it was a performance that reminded me of our relegation season. So lethargic. Can't see us getting anything from the Liverpool game next week unless we have both Nolan and Barton back.

Really couldn't give a shit what his injury is, just as long as he never plays for us again. The lad was an absolutely embarrassment to himself today.

It even says 'JOSE Enrique' on his fecking shirt as well! What an utter tool Jamie is...

Guthrie is just so immobile that we are getting stretched far too much in midfield leaving us exposed no end. Missing Barton a lot. Also, there's such a large gap between our strikers and midfield that its impossible for us to keep the ball and start an attack when we just lump it up to the lethargic pairing of Carroll and Shola. Bring Ranger on for Ameobi and shoot Guthrie preferably. Hopefully this gives us the kick up the arse we normally need.

Got it in one. Good bloke, good pundit, very poor manager.
-
The majority of the time that we gave possession away in the 2nd half was down to Guthrie. Thought he very poor. He's very careless with his passes. Also, he offered us nothing in terms of closing down, hassling or any sort of defensive work which saw us become easily overpowered by Chelsea in midfield. Thank goodness for Tiote. I for one hope Guthrie is sold.

Such a kick in the teeth to concede at such a time. I thought we were going to go on and put a 2nd past them after we scored, they looked so fragile at the back- and still do from set pieces. We can still get something from this game but it's going to be tough. Would be nice to have a bit of pace upfront.

WOLVES

With the way West Brom are going it'll make our encounter with them next week very, very interesting.

Ended up at Newcastle College in the end, but its good. Keith Douglas seems to have connections, hopefully he'll share them! I'm applying for that course in NC for next year, mate. Is it good? I've spoken to and met Keith in person- lovely bloke and very helpful. How's it going for you so far, mate? I'd recommend it. Keith Douglas is a top bloke, great tutor (even if he does support Sunderland). Cheers, mate. Appreciate that. Yeah, I've spoken to and met Keith and he's a top bloke who makes time for you. Have you done your placement with the Newcastle United Foundation yet, Chris?

That's absolutely brilliant, as is the Bramble one.

We'll get something awful, naturally. As long as we don't get the mackems or Liverpool (personal thing) then I'll be content. Turning over Leeds in Ellend Road would be sweet as, though.
-
I think he's absolutely awful, tbh.

Why were the police videoing the fans, like? Does that usually happen?

The lads really need the crowd onside and up for this one. Its our best chance, tbh.

I was thinking prior to this game whether it would be better to replace Sol Campbell for Williamson due to his ability to challenge in the air and thought he might stand a chance of wrestling the threat of Davies, because lets face it, Williamson is very weak in the air- especially under pressure; we witnessed the ease that Jason Roberts had for his goal against Blackburn. Imo, both Williamson and Coloccini are weak in the air and against teams like Bolton and against players like Kevin Davies we will struggle to cope. But what an absolutely fucking catastrophic result that was. Fucking hell. It's no coincidence in the slightest that when both Tiote and Barton are missing we get absolutely steamrolled. Barton's replacement- Guthrie- imo was precisely in the side yesterday to deliver a good cross, from open play and set pieces. But once again he proved that he's simply not good enough for this league. Like Smith he becomes a liability and the lesson of this is that should we miss both or either Tiote/Barton we will suffer. Personally I would have played Routledge from the start yesterday, but it wouldn't have made a world of difference considering how shite we were collectively. And to really top off the day, one of our best players and arguably our best defender commits the most fucking stupid act imaginable with elbowing Elmander like that. Gone for 3 games. Give me strength...

The slightest input Carroll has and their creaming themselves over him

Keeping Raul out of the team

I don't see the point in Guthrie playing out wide, but I can see why Chris wants to try and mould him into a RM- on his day he can be a good crosser of the ball, and although he's not a player that will get to the byline and cross the ball, the idea was probably to get him to supply the crosses from deep. He doesn't do this though. Championship player, imo.

From BBC: "The Newcastle-Fulham is dying a very slow death. It's goalless, and there's nothing really to speak about"

I don't want to be miserable for the girlfriend tonight. Please don't lose, lads.

We are creating absolutely nothing. Corner now! C'mooon.
