Ay, as for me, obviously not surrounded by them, Liverpool/Manu is much worse over here. Crazy like, and talk about single minded supporters I have some Liverpool friends, and some of them cant just admit that some of their players are crap, like Lucas, Babel etc. (there are some good fans too, by all means) I dont not like Sunderland at all, (just a nothing club like Villa, Hull...) i feel it would be a little cliché just to hate them because i just have to, i feel more hate to other clubs. I think only the locals can develop a real hate for them, I guess it would change for me if i lived over there. On the other hand, i love the tension and i like the derbies, and i do feel its some of the most special and important matches each year, but the word hate is a little wrong. Its also the reason i dislike Vålerenga in Norway, its local rivalry, and when i am surrounded by so many of those abnormalities daily, i just go nuts.

So, its not relevant imo what everyone else does. This is a case about Newcastle United, our club, our identety. I dont give a flying f*** if Spurs, Everton, Man u whatever club does it, so be it, let em flush down everything that is tradition. We wont accept it, we are proud of our stadium, and its legacy. It would simpley be a direct hit at the spine of the club and city. Cant belive people take so easy on it, just bend over and let Ashley bumfuck the living s*** out of the supporters and club... unfortunatly that sort of tradition died the day a big blue star appeared on the shirt. Eh? i don't see a great deal of difference between renaming the stadium and having adverts plastered over the strip. (in fact the renaming of the stadium, when everyone will still call it by its original name, is probably the lesser of the two evils) No, far from, compare it to change the clubs name or relocating. Are you happy with supporting SportsDirect FC, its no problem right, we just call it Newcastle United. I liked football a lot more when everything was not just about the money, kind of sad really...

Is boycotting ultimately the only way to force Ashley out eventually?

Yup, sad indeed, always came along like a nioce bloke. Guess Ash is happy to recruit from the present staff, saves money. Does anyone have any clue who will take over, anyone within the academy who can do a decent job?

Please show me a big club with a big history and a over 100year stadium who have sold its name? Also, to all of you who say that they dont care, or dont see the problem with this, go drown yourself in the tyne please. This is a matter of ther history of the club, its the center of all we support, and to sell that out like a whore is a shame. I say that from Norway, i can`t possible imagin how it would feel to walk by the stadium with a fucking neon sign with "McDonalds burgershop stadium" each day, as some of you do, sickening, a constant reminder of the fat asshols fuckups, he`s legacy so to say.
