Exactly; the evidence being the seasons he spent immitating a Premier League footballer at City. That Diego Forlan was a shit footballer also because he failed in the premier league, oh wait, he won best player in the last world cup

Biased I know but it's irking me a little that Lallana and Sterling are seen as automatic starters (or near enough) and Barkley is seen as being on the outside. Begrudgingly he might actually be better as an impact player in this particular game. Still, he's shown more in these pre-WC games than Lallana, for example.

Greek blart.

But if you think that already, then surely you won't be truly disappointed as such, as your expectations are already subconsciously low? HAVE THAT

Do people think the fact Welbeck is at Man Utd is playing a factor in Hodgson's love for him?
-
I know you didn't. Barely seen him have a game where he's looked a decent footballer.

Samaras is terrible. Playing well for Celtic is extremely irrelevant too.

May as well do a Gutierrez to score in a Columbia win. Not really, as the odds for that are barely any bigger. Plenty of places actually go shorter on the score/win than the anytime single.

Obvious joke is obvious. Still laughed.

Obvious question probably but is Martinez injured?
-
Gutierrez anytime @ 11/5 seems generous.

Not another 1-1 defeat to start a World Cup please.

The frustrating thing is this Italy team are there to be got at. A few quality players, obviously, but they're nowt like recent, previous incarnations of their side. Which makes it all the more annoying we're seemingly opting to try to 'contain' them instead of letting our own talented players give them something to worry about.

Yeah this is pretty shambolic like. And that's just my team. -
Certainly news to me, champ. Do tell.

Be surprised if he gets more than 90 minutes cumulatively across games.

Hodgson is absolutely petrified of Pirlo. Absolutely no idea how to actually make Italy worry. Utterly pathetic decision.

I think the bookies are assuming Spain/Holland won't have many goals due to Spain keeping the ball so much. And there is little to suggest Mexico/Cameroon will have over 2.5 goals. Chile have the potential to score a few (and also concede).

Milner. What a guy.

The more I think about it the more I think it was an astonishingly biased refereeing performance. The disallowed Croatian goal seemed like general bullshit - most of those get given as a foul. They shouldn't, but they do. The penalty was clearly not a penalty. No-one gets fouled while waving their arms looking at the ref as they go down due to said "foul". The Neymar decision could easily have been a red card. He eyed him up and then thought he'd whack him with his arm. Clearly pre-mediated, even if the actual contact wasn't massive. The better team won because, shockingly enough, turns out Brazil have better players overall, but equally Croatia proved they were a very decent team and the manner in which they lost will leave a very bitter taste indeed.

dat corruption Good game though.

Brazil and BTTS provided a nice win. Fred bet was nowhere near, did he touch the ball in the penalty area?
