Graeme Bailey ‏@SkyGraemeBailey Jack Rodwell move to Man City will be the third biggest in Everton history, only eclipsed by Wayne Rooney and Joleon Lescott sales. So at least £15m. Not to go all Martin Jol (I'll report later what the U12s are having for dinner) but seeing a lot of rumours that it's nearer the £20m mark. Would be very good business IMO, but of course the question is what Moyes will see of that. Would like to think somehow we've included a potential loan deal for Johnson perhaps. Would be class.
  2. It's frightening how much I relate to this. Take ANYTHING as a small victory which convinces myself I'm better at this gambling lark than I actually am. Oh, hey, Kaiz has £100 on Rosenborg -1. Sorry mate.
  3. Minor injury I think so I doubt they'd want to risk him.
  4. Marin will struggle in the PL. Not really been that impressed with him when I've seen him tbh. At least in terms of judging him by "high Premier League standards".
  5. Oh how I wish I was kidding.
  6. Typical english pundity tbh, down play the players we have hardly seen and over hype the players we have seen. A lot like how we were weaker when we sold Nolan and Barton tbh He has a point in a way 3 attacking midfielders (no matter how good) doesn't replace a RB & a striker. Ivanovic or Torres get injured and Chelsea are fucked. True, but I don't even think he meant it like that. Oh good, here's Clive.
  7. Exactly, be sensible with your bets. Nordic football it is.
  8. Did Southgate just say with Drogba, Bosingwa and Kalou leaving and Hazard, Oscar and Marin coming in, Chelsea are weaker?
  9. Jamelia singing the national anthem. Dunno why that's amusing.

I don't think he'll be able to recreate his form of the 1990s.

Your Everton mate is obviously a bit pessimistic. In an ideal world I'd want to keep him as he's got all the tools to be great, but the reality is he's had big injury problems and hasn't developed as he should have. £15m-ish for a player like that who is hardly a first-team regular is good business.

Surprised he didn't go last summer when Man Utd were reportedly very interested. Probably would've got more for him then. He has a lot of talent - and I mean a lot - but simply hasn't developed as he should have - admittedly he's had very bad luck with injuries. Hope he realises his potential but again, but surprised he's gone to Man City. Have a feeling the fee won't be absolutely massive (as it might have been last year), as although they have stupid amounts of money, they'll be smart enough to know a) he has injury problems and b) we could really do with the money. At a guess, I'd say a little under £15m. All in all it should be a good deal for us, providing Moyes sees it. Edit: 1878 makes a good point about his mentality. I know he's young but considering the natural talent he has, he's bizarrely afraid of making his mark on games and really dominating him - he has the ability to do so.

  15. Neymar in midfield. This bloke is more stupid than I gave him credit for.
  16. Oh, here's the final part of the holy fucking trinity, Garth Crooks.
