  1. Agree with this. It's a consequence of having such an open league this year (i.e. fairly poor quality). 1 or 2 good results and you go up 7 or 8 positions, and likewise for losses which leads to sensationalist tripe like that from Sutton. As for Lampard/Chelsea I think they have the potential to be really, really good. Most of that hinges on whether Havertz and Werner improve though. They've had their 3-4 month 'settling in' period, they need to start performing ASAP. I certainly don't think Lampard is doing a terrible job by any means currently.
  2. Over 1 card for Stoke and Birmingham 3.5/1, both teams like a card and they are refereed tomorrow by card happy officials. Which bookies mate? Seems good that.
  3. Post it now. If others agree with you, the price will have gone by tomorrow.
  4. The only general 'rule' I'd say is if you've not posted a bet, don't post afterwards to say you've won. Exception being if you've won a particularly crazy bet, fair enough. That's not aimed at you gdm in particular, I'd say it's a fair enough thing for everyone to stick to. People naturally will have some losing bets so of course it's frustrating if someone pops up afterwards to say "oh I won this and that." That's also not to say what you do and don't post beforehand. Post everything, post less, post nothing. Just be conscious piping up you've won something after the event is inevitably going to wind some people up. Again, that's me speaking generally. As for amount of bets, it's completely up to the individual. £1 stake to one person might be £20 to someone else. £10 might be £50 to someone else. It's all relative to the person to budget accordingly and only bet what they can afford to lose. The details of that are, as you say gdm, no-one's business.
  5. This is fucking outrageous. when your luck is out
  6. Very frustrating. Wolves starting to pick up cards but wrong players.
  7. Going to copy that double with 50p on, Adama's been picking up a few recently, stupid price. Tracking Reguilon too who loves getting forward.
  8. Adama 10/1 Moutinho 11/2 Double 70/1
  9. Odd game that. Absolutely shite yet 2-2.
  10. Had a really good few months but last week or so has been shocking. Funny old game. Sticking to the same sort of bets though which have previously gone so well. Sawyers card 5/1 (Sky) Jones card 8/1 (PP) Double 70/1 (PP)
  11. Thats one of those which in hindsight looks a ridiculous price. Fingers crossed for you.
  12. I'm probably more exaggerated in my distaste of him than most of our fans. But I dunno, he's one of those players who isn't particularly good at anything. If he had especially good technical ability and kept it simple in that sense I'd be fine with it, but he doesn't. Think he gets by on "working hard" and "keeping things ticking over". I got told in Year 9 I was really good at keeping things ticking over and I knew at that point my football career was over. Genuinely think he only looked good tonight due to playing one of the worst PL teams in history. We've got about 25 of them. I once thought Li Tie looked promising so tbf my opinion on everything is utterly worthless. I remember him quote fondly, although the recollection is blurry. Kante-esque man, ruined by injuries We can all agree he was no Alex Nyarko.
  13. Shearer seemed to do a half-arsed "no fan wants the club to just merely exist..." then didn't follow up on it. Danny Murphy looks like an angry egg so I don't listen to his opinion.
  14. Looks like Pep is trying to Lahm him a bit too. Few managers/coaches better at gradually moulding players into different positions than Pep too.
  15. Was going to mention before Shearer started wanking over him but Joao Cancelo does look a cracking player.

  18. Don't rate Davies then? Not remotely. Doesn't offer much going forward, usually reckless in the tackle and not a particularly good range of passing. Have no idea what he actually offers. Played decently tonight in the sense he kept the ball better than usual and kept things "ticking over", which admittedly usually means not doing much. And it's telling it's the first game he's looked alright in in a while, when we come up against Championship level opposition. Happy for my mind to be changed but can't see it.
  19. We were shite tonight which says everything about the league given we're somehow 2nd. That said maybe I'm being harsh. Apparently the sign of a 'good team' is to win while not playing well and we had Richarlison, James, Digne, Allan all out with Coleman and Gomes on the bench. Tom Davies was even bordering on OK. Sheff Utd are in serious danger of breaking Derby's record.
  20. And the ridiculous double at 125/1. Looking into it mind theres no way it should be that long.
