Don't give that much of a fuck but I'm still interested enough to watch it and see how we do. It's still our country.

7.15. Going to be an absolute riot, I can't fucking wait. I've been looking forward to it for quite literally minutes.
  4. Does Andy Selva still play for them? FM-tastic.
  5. May have to keep an eye on the Holland game like. Could be amusing. Got to love any bet where -6 isn't unrealistic.
  6. A period of reflection. Put the transfer window behind you, work with what you've got and get some results out of your players, and manage them to success. Revolutionary, I know.

What absolute donkey w***. Care to elaborate then? Im sorry but I refuse to praise the lord that we have such an excellent manager. He doesnt deserve it, nor does the muppets who hired him. Bunch of cunts Who is saying he's an excellent manager or he's a Geordie Guardiola? http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-hwXhXDr-Xxo/Tf9_f5VXKeI/AAAAAAAADy0/XbXbcKx2Mtg/s1600/Straw_man4.jpg

Yes, you're correct Sewelly. And yes, I've accounted for Victor fucking Anichebe. The truth of the matter is, the future is bleak barring a seemingly highly unlikely takeover. Our hierarchy tells us fuck all and when they do - as we've seen with the Blue Union meeting and the subsequent aftermath - it appears things are a lot worse than what we previously thought. Our chairman has no idea how to sell the club and the rest of the powers-that-be are contributing nothing. As I've said now on a few occasions, I know you lot have problems with your hierarchy and they are fully justified concerns, but from what I've seen, at least your owner has a plan - albeit an unpopular direction. Ours apparently has no clue. I still fully expect us to finish in the top half and 7th is fully achievable again. But in terms of how we go on, it's not good at all. I know they have their own specific circumstances but you see teams like fucking Blackburn and Birmingham get money pumped into them and you honestly think, what have we done not to deserve some investment that - and without sounding arrogant - those inferior clubs have done? Even just look around mid-table. Bloody Sunderland are rolling in it, relatively.Sunderland. Yet despite all the negativity, we are just some investment away - and I don't mean Man City standards - for us to really move forwards IMO. It's just at the moment, for various reasons, it's not looking likely at all.
  9. No, if anything we are attracting more exciting players than in recent years. £5 for Cabaye is better than £15m for Luque, or whatever it was. £9.5m, but what's the difference in £5.5m in misrepresenting the dealings of the previous board while defending the current. I'm more concerned he's said you got Cabaye for a fiver. Scandalous.

Well what I'd like to see is these "experts" being able to offer insight, using their apparent vast array of footballing experience to give us some more interesting explanations and descriptions about what's happened, instead of repeating the bleeding obvious and not being able to pronounce someone's name.

The ignorance to foreign players in particular is shocking. Not even taken the time to at least read up on stats at the player's former club. But it's OK, because it's proper funny Merson can't pronounce his name! Hahahaha!!!

Punditry and general football analysis in this country is appalling. Boring, cliche-bulging rubbish. They get paid fuck loads and what do they do? Fuck all research and spout tripe.

    The Arsenal

Granted maybe not the ideal one for them but my general point is IMO Sczezny will cost them quite a few points this year and they failed to get in a good, experienced keeper. Yes, he needs to gain experience some way but I think he's being unfairly relied upon in a team that looks to be going backwards (though will be interesting to see how Arteta, Mertesacker, Santos and PCY do).

    The Arsenal

I think he's a quite good keeper, Neil. Tim Howard will cost you points. Cech, Reina, and Friedel will cost their respective teams points. This is a specialty of goalkeepers. I think he's equivalent to most of the other keepers at the competitive clubs. Underrated because of his youth. Arsenal would currently be much better off having a good, experienced keeper like Shay Given. This position has been ignored and was somewhere Arsenal should have strengthened.

...who'll make mistakes this year, such as Sunday. Will be good given experience but he doesn't have experience. He'll cost them points this year.

  17. I know everyone's trying to whip up some hysteria about us currently, but we will not be finishing outside the top 10 mate. Below Sunderland, aye righto. Even with a very weak squad, Everton will still comfortably finish above both North East clubs and will be no lower than 8th. We have big problems in terms of the club as a whole, don't get me wrong, but our squad is still good and it's quite amusing to see media outlets make out like Arteta leaving will plunge us into the bottom half or something. The start to your season hasn't exactly been good. Flukey win against Blackburn (relegation candidates) and a home loss against QPR (relegation candidates) We don't do starts.

Hope Neil's still about I'm having a hard time trying to have promises that are the most realistic in my sig. That said, the one I made to Beren is probably the rashest and most likely of them all.

    Everton, screwed?

Very long read but if you have some spare time and are interested: http://www.sos1878.co.uk/everton-news/blue-union-statement-a-means-to-an-end/ Follow-up to that somewhat infamous meeting with Kenwright, and responding to accusations they misrepresented the conversation. If you think your hierarchy is a mess, you'll enjoy this.

    Sunderland...

I get the feeling that if Bendtner is made to feel like the main man, and gets plenty of chances, he'll do the business this season. Don't think he'll carry them like Bent did but still, a good signing nonetheless.
