    Sunderland...

You have to say, a thumping isn't out of the question here. Only 2 points from 3 games including a home derby defeat, only 1 goal scored, manager under a bit of pressure. Chelsea winning 4-1 or something like that is perfectly feasible. Cue 1-0 Sunderland win.

    Everton, screwed?

The more I read hobshobs' post, the more I think it's as though he's tried to write the exact opposite to the truth.

Very, very sceptical whenever a story about meeting potential buyers comes out. As 1878 rightly says, these are almost always leaked when Kenwright is under pressure (look at the latest story about 3 mystery interested parties, on the eve of a protest - what a coincidence) and the sly timing of these perpetuates the feeling that Kenwright is not being entirely honest. Personally, I don't think he lies when he says he's a passionate Evertonian and hey, he may well be a 'nice guy'. But I also think he is incompetent, going off the tidbits we hear from things like the BU meeting. £24m operating costs, on what? Kenwright: "I don't know, sorry, you'll have to ask someone else". Incredible. That now infamous meeting aside, communication from our hierarchy is non-existent. And the things we do hear reek of total bullshit (sound familiar?) So, who are these buyers? What happened in the previous failed attempts to sell the club? Why did the deals fall through? Fans are waiting for answers to questions like these, but we're going to be waiting a long, long time.

As if to prove the point, guess what? Story released on the eve of a protest: Bill's talking with 3 mystery potential buyers! Woohoo! Like fucking clockwork.
  5. Oh, we'll see about that. ---------------------------------------- Cheers for the info Stu, think I'll look into it more and give it a whirl. I'm more bothered about gaining some sort of profit, giving me more to play with; rather than a very outside chance of a significant profit.
  6. Well, eventually it gets going tonight. AC Milan vs Lazio, 7.45.
  7. Still going on and off atm, hope you get to the bottom of it Rich.
  8. Villa DNB 6/4 seems great odds. I did however say I couldn't see us winning last week.
  9. Got 2 free transfers this week. No doubt whoever I take out will score.
  10. Aston Villa striker Darren Bent also missed international duty with a groin problem but is expected to be fit for the trip to Goodison Park.
  11. Taking that top accy, Stu, and the stakes you've put on, what would be your profit if, say, 5/8 won? Just to get an idea of how much you'd be up. Tempted to do something like that tomorrow, admittedly with much smaller stakes.

    Everton, screwed?

We can play some shite football for sure, but actually we've played a fair bit of good football. Certainly no worse than what Newcastle have served up in recent years, as means of a comparison. All aggro? sorry mate, but you've obviously not watched us much. When things go wrong it's injuries and lack of investment that's to blame? Too fucking right it is. We've had rotten luck with injuries over the years, and we don't have a pot to piss in. Too right they're reasons for us not doing better. Wait, wait. Missed the best bit. "Moyes has spent a fortune." Which planet are you living on? I can see the nonsensical reply. "Look over the years, he's clearly spent money."
  13. Stu: how exactly do the trebles/4 folds etc from that accy work? Do you put a certain amount of money on every possible treble combination?
  14. Presume the fact I've been directed to Virgin Advanced Search for a couple of hours is due to the behind-the-scenes work going on at the moment? i.e. it isn't just me who's been unable to access the forum?
  15. Oh, are you rolling out a new server like?

    Sunderland...

We all ran out, and then the linesman went, "No, no, I believe he is actually very much onside." He very nearly missed anarl.

    Sunderland...

Though it barely makes up for Ameobi's ridiculously offside goal in... a few years ago? 2006?

    Other clubs' transfers

Honestly, joeyt, just never post again.
  19. I really like the look of this weekend. So I'll find a way to lose.

Been coming for ages, this protest. Not much else to say.

    Sunderland...

Yet Durham is still a 95% Sunderland stronghold. More Sunderland season card holders from Durham than there is from Sunderland according to last survey done. No one gives a flying fuck.

    Players in public

Obviously not, he was last active only half an hour ago.
  23. Is that due to the Catalan/Spain tension, or something else?
