I know everyone's trying to whip up some hysteria about us currently, but we will not be finishing outside the top 10 mate. Below Sunderland, aye righto. Even with a very weak squad, Everton will still comfortably finish above both North East clubs and will be no lower than 8th. We have big problems in terms of the club as a whole, don't get me wrong, but our squad is still good and it's quite amusing to see media outlets make out like Arteta leaving will plunge us into the bottom half or something. The start to your season hasn't exactly been good. Flukey win against Blackburn (relegation candidates) and a home loss against QPR (relegation candidates) We don't do starts.

Hope Neil's still about I'm having a hard time trying to have promises that are the most realistic in my sig. That said, the one I made to Beren is probably the rashest and most likely of them all.

Very long read but if you have some spare time and are interested: http://www.sos1878.co.uk/everton-news/blue-union-statement-a-means-to-an-end/ Follow-up to that somewhat infamous meeting with Kenwright, and responding to accusations they misrepresented the conversation. If you think your hierarchy is a mess, you'll enjoy this.

I get the feeling that if Bendtner is made to feel like the main man, and gets plenty of chances, he'll do the business this season. Don't think he'll carry them like Bent did but still, a good signing nonetheless.

Once again, James gets it 100% right.

Improvements have been made, but can't help feel the moves made reek of panic-buying.

When we sign a bunch of crocks who were free because they were a bunch of crocks, Im inclined to disagree. Who are these crocks? Ba and Marveaux for starters. Santon coming off a 2-year bad streak. Obertan who has been massively shit. Ben arfa obviously but that one was out of our hands, thanks Nigel. It just seems like we have a knack for signing " failed" players because it drives down the price, through injury or otherwise.. I wish we could just sign someone up and coming and deemed the best since sliced bread, for a decent sum for both parties. Ah well.. Deary me. Failed players. Santon is 20 for Christ's sake. Obertan barely got played at Man Utd, he needed a fresh start. Ba's had problems but by all accounts isn't actually that bad injury-wise. In fact, I give up. That sort of pessimism is impossible to counter.

You have a better strikeforce than us, for one. You have some real quality players in midfield. You have a class defender in Colo, Saylor has seemingly improved a lot, Santon is frankly a coup. Shh, this isn't a time for sense. This a time to over-react. Get the fuck off our board with your nonsens. No, don't you get it? I'm an Ashley apologist since I pointed out your plus points. Berate me. Berate me!

The three teams that we have played have not won a game between them, they've drawn 4 and lost 5. They haven't just played Newcastle, 2 thirds of the games they've played haven't been against us. Jesus fucking Christ.

be ok that, he looked ok 3 yrs ago, havent seen him since, he was fast as fuck, him infront of baines is ok If he can get back to how he looked earlier in his career as you say then it's great business. Finally a genuine wide player on the left. Stracq and Drenthe for Arteta and Beckford although it seems shit I don't think is so devastatingly bad especially with that young lad coming through. It isn't at all. It's amusing seeing SSN trying to make out like it's the end of the world. The issue with Arteta is not that him going suddenly means we're in the shit, it's that our Chairman said a few weeks ago that he was, IIRC, one of the players he refused to sell. Minimal communication from the powers-that-be and when they do communicate, they feed us lies and general bullshit. Sound familiar?

Slam that son of a bitch.

Precisely what your mate has said there. Quite amusing seeing a few comments on here as though it will plunge us into a nightmare scenario. Don't get me wrong I don't want to see him go and he'll be a miss but he won't be as much of a miss as some are making out. His best games for us were before his injury that kept him out for a year.

9th, 10th or 11th.

Would laugh if our fax machine breaks or something. Bill's typewriter doesn't get the job done.

Rangers rejected a £9m bid from an unnamed club for Jelavic!
