Before the goals, Sunderland were just looking for the 0-0 plain and simple. Afterwards, Spurs posed little to zero threat and in the last few minutes Sunderland suddenly decided they would try and win it.

Not sure why he's bothered turning up.

Only saw one replay, thought it was a yellow. Definite red. Went in with one foot but made sure both were together when he made contact with the player. Fair enough, in which case if he did that, that's a red.

Not sure if it's good defending from Sunderland on Bale or Bale using no intelligence in his crossing.

Spurs' defence?

Long diagonal ball tactic comes to the rescue.

Hmmm was already on his way down like. If wasn't already falling and went down normally then stonewaller. On his way down yes, but it's a foul anywhere else on the pitch. It's a penalty for me. Reckless challenge, don't think Zenden got the ball.

That's a penalty.

VdV so close.

That'll do from our POV!

Sunderland winning 0-0.

Bentley did something! And, for the 11th time in a row, nothing comes of the corner.
-
Pretty typical Sunderland performance so far. 'Soak up pressure' and try to nick a goal. Thing is they do this on a lot of home games too and usually get some luck to get something.

It's 10-1 on corners at least, KD. You must be enthused by that...
-
Easily the better side but not at your best. Just that final ball missing. Plus you've completely wasted a hatful of corners.
-
What a ball from Bentley.

Huddlestone smacks the post. Love watching his shooting. Unbelievable tekkers.

Boro ahead. Boyd.

They've had some poor decisions go against them this year, very unlucky. Mind regarding our game where they (probably wrongly) had a goal disallowed, he's keen not to mention the pretty clear penalty we should have had at the other end.

I'd "go out and do this for the fans" tbh. Against Blackburn? Poor management. Chris is better than that. Err, yes. For the fans who hate Fat Sam. DON'T QUESTION MA AUTHORITEEEH!

Let's see how many teams in the division will do this, I suspect not very many. It's the same over xmas and you don't see many teams rotating then as well. Apart from the vast majority if not all, no, not many. Let's see, but why the fuck change a winning team. It's pointless, and tbf if i was a player in that 11 and then got dropped tomorrow then I wouldn't be happy. Big, big difference. They wouldn't be being 'dropped' as that implies their level of performance wasn't good enough. It's nothing to do with "changing a winning team". I wouldn't expect any team to be able to give 100% in each of the 3 games in a 6 day period. If you think you're an exception to that then fair enough.

If you're not prepared to rotate when you have 3 games in 6 days then I don't know when. If the players are seriously fit enough to perform at a high level against Blackburn and then against Fulham, fair enough. However I think the chances of this are near to zero.
