Benayoun is a very good player. Underrated.

On current form, Carroll and Davies should without doubt both get appearances against France. Of course, Crouch will play most of the game as will Barry, and don't forget SWP coming on for 20 minutes.

He's never been one for celebrating goals though to be fair, has he? He hasn't. He's just an arse infinitely.

Mensah's a decent defender. For the 40 minutes a month he actually plays.

Also my dislike of Barry has increased consistently over the past year or 2. Horribly overrated.

Agree with the Silva shouts. Great to watch. Him, Tevez and to a lesser extent Johnson are superb players. The fans seem to be total cocks and arrogant without any justification. In fact, my favourite victory last year was when we went to 'Fortress Eastlands' where they hadn't been beaten and, for the 2nd time in 3 months or so, completely outplayed them and won. It was massively satisfying.

Joe Hart seems likeable enough. Errrrrmmm. Struggling here.

I just hope for your sake you can win the games you should be winning. The only thing stopping me thinking you could well finish in the top 10 this year is how you perform when the impetus is on you to go and win the game. The Villa and Sunderland games were superb results don't get me wrong, but I honestly think they were slightly out of sync from what the norm will be - Villa and Sunderland were worse than anyone could have predicted. Not to take away the fact you played very well in both like. These next 2 games are a perfect acid test as to how you'll do this season, IMO. You build form around winning the games like Blackburn/Stoke at home, we're not going to get build form around winning at Everton and Arsenal every week - those results won't continue and when they go, we need the home form to keep that momentum going. Yep, hence why these 2 games I think will give a very good indication of how you'll fare for the rest of the season.

As has been said/implied throughout this thread no doubt, it's a bit of an empty question. What does "looking at" the top half or "aiming" for mid-table actually mean? You, obviously, aim to win every game and see where that gets you. Evidentially, you've shown you have the quality and passion/drive to finish well above 17th, and from this point it would of course be disappointing to finish that low.

Speaking of which, Chiles really did suit MOTD2. A fairly laid back Sunday night magazine show. He looks hopelessly out of his depth fronting live matches on ITV.

50 points won't get you into Europe tbh. Maybe 9th?
