  1. Got some Italian guy to lead them to world domination, bought a Russian guy they can't play yet, and refusing to sell an Englishman who is wanted by UAE power-crazy mafia people type people.
  2. We were well on course for taking Arsenal all the way... everything changed when RVP grabbed a 95th minute equaliser at Goodison Park in late January. One of the most undeserved goals I can remember.. but from then on, they raced away from us. Which makes the opening game of the season rather interesting.
  3. Wonder what the odds are for us to finish above City. Again. [/ ]
  4. Not really worthy of a new thread but didn't know where to put it: Nasri breaks his leg.
  5. Has Dave not spontaneously combusted yet because of the amusingly misplaced apostrophe?
  6. Sunderland apparently now not fussed on Crouch.
  7. He may have his faults but the man talks sense.
  8. Interested to see how Elm would cope if he did come. Hope he'd be more Limpar than Alexandersson.

    Berbatov

    That guy from Rock'n'Rolla tbh.
  10. On one hand it's a good deal but in today's ridiculous market, it isn't really. £15m + Richards may change things. I'm not one to think Lescott won't leave just because he seems to like it here, money ultimately speaks. But, I honestly don't think anything will happen unless the deal I've just mentioned is offered, or an equivalent, at the very minimum. Also; bear in mind "another £15m to blow" = most of our transfer budget. We don't already have £25m or owt. Onouha is better than Richards. A bit more cash than £15m plus Onouha would do me. I think Richards under Moyes could be absolute quality. I'm not so sure about Onouha. Although saying that, a few more million and Onuoha would be acceptable.

    Man City

You mean 'impossible', right? Can't see Hughes lasting a full season there.

  13. Also, Man City look like adding Onuoha to £15m in Part 2 of The Lescott Pursuit. Wonder how quickly this one will be rejected.
  14. Perhaps not shit hot but the fans warmed to him when he was here. He was supposed to be coming back but Valencia thought "lolz we want him!". Further elaborate details down the road, I'd say he's a realistic target if Moyes still wanted him.
  15. Hardly matters when you've scored seven does it? Take your optimism and GET OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. Now I'm no expert on the details of the potential takeover but regardless: from the outside, I get the feeling there's an increasing chance that you'll still have a fair few of the likes of Jonas etc for the season's start, and that it's more likely, if at all, that they could go in January instead. Forgive me if that's way off the mark. Yes it's only 2 friendlies against very weak sides but at least it seems the players are showing some sort of commitment and desire to do well. It's surely a start?
  17. Nor is his record particularly bad; aging examples but Djemba-Djemba and co spring to mind... Even the best make mistakes.
  18. Not with players who actually have decent technical ability we're not. Gosling and Rodwell have a long way to go although both show signs of raw talent and could come into their own over the next 12-24 months. Osman is mediocre, and Neville tends to less damage when hes at RB, albeit you'd be surprised how well he played last year (that said, it wasn't amazing).
  19. We'll have him. Another who I think would flourish under Moyes.
  20. 40m euros + Ibra for Eto'o, bit steep but probably a fair deal. Silly me, for a minute I thought it was the other way around. :kinnear: :kinnear: :kinnear: :kinnear: :kinnear: :kinnear:
  21. BUT FERGIE SAID HE WASN'T SIGNING ANYONE ELSE!!!!111!11!!!! Fergie said he wasn't spending any more money. Quit yo jibba-jabba.

  23. In a word, No!! The pitch is not that good. I'm certainly keeping an eye out for news of a possible postponement. Darlo do need the money from the pre season friendlies from the "NE Big 3" though. Hmm, I don't especially fancy wasting my money on train tickets if the game isn't on. The thought of a football-free and sodden day out in Darlo isn't exactly filling me with glee. FYP.
