Fair, I was just shook by the Dan James comparison
-
@Yorkie "They were the only buyer and selling him > the alternative" I think we could argue the toss on this point, as I can see both sides of the argument, but reintegration until the summer was absolutely an option available to us. "The guy literally went on strike, making it absolutely impossible to achieve our highest end, if we even know what it was." He did, but so did Wissa and Brentford had us pay well over market value for him. For me, there's absolutely no excuse for not selling on our terms. In our own words, we didn't forsee the conditions of a sake being met, they weren't and we sold him anyway. "I'd say it's pretty comparable, they've got a really high fee and so have we." We paid more than Brentford's original asking price for Wissa. Liverpool paid less than our original asking price for Isak Anyway it's done now, so at least we can move on. Let's hope he feels like he has lego in his shoe for the rest of his career.

My post was more dismay at writing off a player after two and a half games. It's grim.

Got to disagree here, any of the below would have cushioned the blow: Not selling to Liverpool. Sticking to our valuation. Having a replacement in the door before selling to ensure we didn't get rinsed. As it is, we've let a league rival unsettle one of our best players, had him go on strike, then laid down the law only to sell him below our valuation, thus rewarding all parties behaviour. Wissa did exactly the same and Brentford have taken us to the cleaners.

There's not rating him and breaking out the Dan James comparisons, Christ.

Getting stuck into Elanga already man. Best fans in the league.

Where do you start with that... The Good On the face of it, both inbound and outbound business is very good. We've addressed every problem position identified pre-window and added potential "purples" in Ramsey, Elanga and Woltemade. Saving Isak for later, outgoings have been good with most of our fringe players moved on. Fair play to for getting solid fees for Kelly and Longstaff. The Bad and the Ugly What a mess. No CEO or Sporting Director has seen a lack of leadership and direction, with staff having to act up in positions they're not qualified for. This made us look incompetent and naive early in the market, missing out on numerous targets that never seemed attainable. The handling of the Isak situation has been equally shambolic. After giving it big licks via the local media, we've ultimately spinelessly surrendered to player power and a cartel club, giving them what they wanted on favourable terms. The lack of replacement through the door has led to a large overpay for Wissa today. Overall Somehow, after weeks of incompetence, we've somewhat landed on our feet. Aye, we've lost arguably our best player, but the squad looks far better equipped to fight on multiple fronts. On business alone I'd give it an eight, but given the (lack of) method, along with us capitulating into cartel cucks yesterday and the long term damage that could cause. I'll go with a six.

Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season

Interested to hear what went on here. Bizarre stuff. -
Guehi acts like a perfect professional and doesn't get his move. Isak acts like a total cunt and gets his. Brutal.
-
Wow, apparently Glasner threatened to walk if they sold Guehi without a replacement.

We opted out of it? Madness. -
Not particularly, other than Elanga all of our deals have been pretty smooth once a fee has been agreed.
-
Douglas: "The club are in contract talks with Tino Livramento – Manchester City had overtures rejected this summer – and The i Paper understands there is interest in discussing terms with Sandro Tonali too. Sven Botman is also in line for a new deal." Praise Allah.

He is, but I'm not sure how it impacts Ekitike being braindead.

I'm not sure what your point is.

Bayern paying £140m for Diaz and Jackson is wild.

Seems a bit braindead does this lad.
