He's clearly better than two of them and has a higher ceiling than all three though. I agree he won't instantly come in and improve the first team though.

Schrodingers Whinge #3 "Why are we bidding for PL players? They come at a premium, the cartel will gazunp us anyway. We should buy the dip with young European talent." V "That's underwhelming, he was shit last season"
-
Man United are still negotiating up the price, they haven't agreed a fee yet.
-
That's the issue, there's no leadership in the football operation of the club. Until a CEO and a Sporting Director come in, we're sticking square pegs into round holes.
-
I'm not a huge advocate for signing Jackson by the way, especially at the prices quoted, but he's absolutely not shite. It's total hyperbole.
-
If you highlighted any magnified Isak' misses, he'd look like he can't finish too. He has 24 goals and 10 assists in 65 games and has led the line for a top six club. He's hardly a donkey like some are making out. You'd think the humbling we've had this transfer window would bring some back down to earth.
-
This is absolute nonsense like. There is legitimate concerns with Jackson, he does miss chances and he is a hot head who's a bit too easy to wind up. He is a good centre forward though and Chelsea always look better with him in the side. Problem is, I can't see Chelsea selling cheap.
-
I'm hearing Isak brought Romano with him.

It's more we wouldn't want to sell the players that Saudi clubs would be interested in. Unless they see Joe Willock expanding the Saudi brand of course.
-
Seems like a reasonable fee. Thought he'd go for more than that.
-
It'll just be a case of informal discussion being reported as "bids" by the media again. We'll no doubt be trying to get a ball park figure of price.

I might have a role for you. Please can you send your CV to [email protected]

Latest from Moretto: "Allegri would like to keep Thiaw; for Allegri, he is an important footballer. However, the market is the market, and Milan would be willing to listen to offers for Thiaw, but this time Milan is asking for much more, a figure even higher than 30 million."
-
That's fair and without trying, there would be no Tonali or Isak. Isak has really fucked us. If he didn't ask to leave we're not desperately chasing forwards and are waiting on Wissa.

It's been evident for days that the aim of Leipzig and his agent was to play both clubs off against one another. They've now extracted a fee from Man United that they otherwise wouldn't have got. I'm not that fussed about missing out on Sesko as a player, he could go either way. It's more that we now have so little time, with so many positions to fill and we seem to have the most naive recruitment team going. Clubs and agents must see us coming a mile off.
-
Is not just his good mate and lad who hired him announced his departure and he had no other allies at the club after his initial outburst?
-
I can't ever see us getting to number one with the current rules in play. I'd take regular European qualification and the odd domestic trophy though, perhaps I aim too low

Be as harsh as you want, that's not why I went on hiatus. For me, there's incremental improvements being made to the club all the time, but we've been well and truly put on our place this summer through naivity and a lack of leadership. For me, we've been shopping in the wrong markets from the off.
-
You don't seamlessly transform a football club from a relegation candidate ran on a skeleton staff to a Champions League operation overnight. Things aren't THAT bad and I'll never fault the club for trying, but my word we needs some leadership and effective challenge within the club as soon as possible. The strategy this summer has been non-existent, with individuals having to cover roles they're clearly out of their depth in. Long term "the project" will be fine, as long as lessons are learned and we never find ourselves in this position again.
-
Cheers man. It depends what the linear progress is moving towards. I was talking in terms of incremental improvement, rather than with a specific end goal in mind.

Eddie might have the unenviable task of trying to integrate him back into the squad.
