Don't think it's been particularly slow going to be honest. We were out the blocks pretty quickly for Huijsen and Delap, then missed out in Pedro. We only submitted a new bid for Elanga on Thursday.

No idea if that post is tongue in cheek or not, but no idea why Andy Howe is the designated scape goat (see Twitter). He's one of a three man team and they don't do the bulk of the negotiating.

He'll have overall say on general budget and part of that will be justifying player valuations to him, etc, but I'd be shocked if it goes beyond that. It would completely defeat the object on having a CEO or an SD.
