RTG is so weird.  They don't mention much about our performance but just talk about our owners murdering children and then that if we play them they will beat us.

I badly want us to draw them in the FA Cup

Anyone see/remember that graphic of PL points after 40 games next to our managers? He's only a few off Keegan

Aye, was surprised to see how many Roeder had

As for Howe, what a guy. He's doing an unbelievable job and long may it continue.

He's made a lot of his detractors (including some amongst our own fanbase) look like right mugs.

Tough one at Villa Park. Naturally, want Ville to get a good hiding but can’t be having Man United winning.

0-0, plenty injuries and red cards please.

Easily want a Villa win, we need to think bigger picture now

Though expect Man-U to beat them as they are shite

In Haaland's favour, he's broken an all-time record in October of 3 back-to-back home hattricks. I'd love for Almiron to win but it's not that clear cut. Hopefully other fans love the redemption/Grealish angle to give him the edge.

Scoring 3 hat tricks is indeed amazing but the fact is 2 of those were in September, he should along with all players be judged on October

In that regards Almiron had a better month, matched him for goals, not playing as a striker and in a "weaker" team. He also scored in more matches and didn't taste defeat.

It shouldn't even be close really

Is it any worse than a group of 4? Was it Sweden and Denmark that played out a 2-2 draw to knock out Italy one year? With this format the team who are top in the last game are already guaranteed to go through so winning is more an incentive to top the group, without the jeopardy of being knocked out.

In a group of 4 the final matches are played at the same time so it reduces potential collusion if not completely remove it

1982 World Cup had groups of 3 in the Second Round, anyone got any idea how they went? Might have been the only time so guessing the fact it was gone by 86 suggests it was shit.

Had a look at this recently, in 1982 the second round did have groups of 3 but it was only the side finishing 1st that went through so no issues there

Having groups of 3 with top two going through is problematic

  7. Huddersfield somehow managed to not score, the Mackems then went up the other end and took the lead

Pritchard was getting booed by Huddersfield fans so it seemed inevitable

    Such a good dude.

I remember talking with @HaydnNUFCwhen I was over last November, right around the time Joelinton was turning into a midfielder. Can't imagine what it must've been like for him to come here with that price tag, not live up to it, then be stuck in his apartment during lockdown without his friends or family around.

To come out of that and keep his head high and become the player he has is amazing. Takes so much mental strength and belief, and obviously talent. Such a good story and long may it continue.

    This is it for me

He was ridiculed by all, referred to as the biggest flop in the PL, he was on a 6 year contract and the easy thing could have been for him to just think sod this and just coast until his contract ran out.

We've see many players do that but he never ever hid, would battle through games and always put his body on the line.

It takes enormous character to do that and it's amazing that he's went from biggest waste of money to £40m being a bargain.

  9. He's superb, so dominant in the air and absolutely solid with the ball at his feet

I just love the passes he plays through the opposition, it helps us so much
