Miss the days of Keane and Neville losing their heads after a Man Utd game.

Feels like a lifetime ago but once they employed a competent coach it was clear they would improve significantly

He's made them solid if not spectacular yet

Howay man, he has a moan every week, just because he’s been complementary of us (as has Klopp) in the past means nowt. They constantly piss and moan!

Except he doesn't, that's the point.

My overriding perception of Pep is that he's a gent. But I do think I've seen him crack when the temperature heats up. Klopp is permanently pathetic.

I mean he's not perfect and I've seen interviews where he gets very short with the interviewer (the "more than you believe" stands out) but don't generally see him complain about decisions or about the approach the opposition takes, he knows it's his teams responsibility to break them down

I don’t want Howe turning into a moaning twat like the likes of Klopp and Pep, it’s not his style anyway, don’t get angry, get even!

Pep? Not sure why you are lumping him in with a bellend like Klopp

I find Pep to be class, as an example look at his comments when we drew 3-3 and also even when we beat them 2-1 under Rafa whilst we played "defensive" football

Pep was very complimentary towards us and I notice he is often like that even when results don't go his way

  5. He looks quality, still young so going to get better. He pinged some lush cross field passes, it was effortless

There were a few runs Isak wanted to make off the last defender and Botman didn't see it, no doubt it's something Howe will work on as I can see Botman ball over the top for Isak to run on to becoming a feature

  6. I see there is often a call for ex pros to get involved as they've played the game at the highest level.

I'm not sure that's necessarily a solution, the majority of football fans haven't played the game at the highest level but some of the decisions made today have been beyond ridiculous, not even subjective.

The most subjective one being the Oliver one, which he stuck with.

The Leeds penalty, West Ham goal and our goal were all clear, just anyone that watches football knows the officials got it wrong.

  7. Anyone that is having a go at Eddie Howe or even remotely criticising him is an absolute doylem, it's as if they didn't watch what's taken place the last 9 months and they don't watch any of the games

This has been a frustrating week, I've felt angry and frustrated but that's been with the officials and the behaviour of Liverpool, not with Howe

It's the opposite with Howe, I'm incredibly proud of the job he's done and clearly how far we have come under him as manager. We've been very competitive and played a lot of good stuff

I see absolutely no point in including Shelvey in the squad keeping our fingers crossed he might play two or three games, I really hope Howe was just suggesting it to keep the player's morale up. Shelvey usually takes longer than others to get up to speed with fitness as well, he's never been the best trainer. Do we actually need to lose any more players now Fernandez and Shortstaff are gone?

If there is no one else to take the last spot then it does make sense

Sixth fullback. They’ve just had zero plan all window.

    This

People trying to justify it because they let X number of players go. Signing 6 full backs, 3 each side (assuming Aurier signs) is not normal and doesn't seem like it's part of a plan

I at least admire they are going for it, just not convinced it's well thought out

Would love to know what their wage bill has gone from and to, pretty fascinating. You’d imagine that if they get relegated we won’t be seeing them again for a long time

And their agents fees, must be some hefty amount

Good window overall but feels like a mistake sat on our arses today when we've still got Wood and Murphy stinking out Premier League fixtures. We'll regret being so passive today IMO.

    I don't think we'll regret it

Obviously we have areas to address in the squad but it was never going to be done in one or two windows

Plus I suspect a lot of what we did in January would have been intended for the summer but was accelerated due to the situation we were in

Retaining him is the very definition of sandbagging. Quite why we want to slow our unstoppable March to football superiority I don’t know!

I think if anyone showed interest in him we'd sell but he's not very good so they aren't

He still has 5 years left on his contract so unless we pay it all off he'll be stuck here a while
