I don't disagree with any of that, was more the treating games as cup finals I was disagreeing with but reading it back I guess you were referring to it tactically as opposed to psychologically, so my bad on that one On the tactics side of it, we know what formation we are going to play and can mostly predict the players too, so it's obvious the opposition will know too so mixing it up has to be considered I'd like us to play a 4-2-3-1 at some stage, Bruno and Joelinton are more than capable of playing as a two and it then gets more attacking players closer to the striker

Manchester City vs. Newcastle United: 04/03/23 @ 12:30 (BT Sport)

Be surprised if we get anything from this but Brentford and Everton have shown it's possible We'll have to probably mirror the way they did it, though difficult to replicate Brentford as their style is reliant on Toney and we don't have anyone that can play like him But defend deep and make sure we have pace on the counter, they've shown defensive vulnerability and maybe we can grab something -
I do hope the contract extension news from earlier in the season wasn't true He's 31, injury prone and has looked poor for quite a period of time now

On the ball Bruno is better than Casemiro but off it is where Casemiro is better They are different players so comparing them is a bit of a pointless task -

Aye, from this position 7th needs to be the minimum we get -

If the Carabao Cup winners finish top 4 (as Man-U will) then it goes to the highest placed team in the league, not the runners up I think 7th in the league will get Europa Conference assuming one of the top 5 wins the FA Cup (will cheer City on to win it) -

I'd add Joelinton to that -

Assuming City or Man-U win the FA Cup then it's likely to be 5/6 for Europa League and then 7 for Europa Conference League, right? -
I know Ornstein had mentioned that he was going to extend his contract by 2 years to 2026 but not sure we ever got official confirmation Based on since the WC it would be worrying if he has 3 more years left

Eddie Howe - Nominated for Manager of the Season

Gutted for Eddie Howe, think the work he's done in the last 16 months deserved a positive outcome but wasn't to be Hopefully with the final out of the way we can attack these 15 games with a bit more freedom Then in the summer the owners need to back him, give 2-3 top players at least -

Defensively he was good but he completed 21 out of 36 passes, thought he was very sloppy in possession -

Played well apart from the final 3rd Was not impressed with Man-U at all, they were basically just punting the ball forward and we were naive at the back Summer needs to be about addressing that cutting edge -
Kane scoring at the far post from a corner, always seems to score that type of goal, no idea how he is left alone
-
Nah, that was for Havertz
-
I think he clearly goes to push him in the arm and it kinda of slips into his face is what saves him Plus, Emerson came barging into him for no reason, that was worse than what Ziyech did
-
Common sense prevails, changed to a yellow

Ziyech sent off That's not a red card like
