  1. And what's that then? Pardew said he will be chasing down Charnley to write down exactly where the cash is going. That doesn't sound like a bloke resigned to letting the money disappear up Mikes jacksie. Actually it sounds like a bloke saying whatever he needs to, to convince the fans Exactly. How anybody still believes him is beyond me. Yep - he is a proven liar and he has dished out plenty of ambiguous statements. A mouthpiece and a yes man for Ashley/Lambias I love the transfer window, I really do. Not sure what Pardew being a liar has to do with the transfer window like?

  4. Good old M.A.W makes an apperance again I imagine him as a semi-transparent guy in a top hat and a toon shirt sitting on the shoulder of every RTG poster as they chat away to him while people on the bus slowly edge away from the loon talking to himelf. I share your vision. http://i55.tinypic.com/2l9nkp0.jpg Now you try :spit: :spit:
  5. Another CB would be nice - as it is Kadar is 4th choice, looks canny BUT has had far too many injuries to be relied upon BUT as others have said it is not a priority, striker, winger, RB and LB (backup to Jose or Jose replacement) would be ahead of CB for me - I am fairly happy with Steven Taylor, if he can stay fit I think he can do well alongside Colo
  6. The stats show Cabaye scored 2(two) goals from midfield last season and he is replacing a bloke who scored 12,yes (twelve) goals from midfield. Is it sinking in yet? The stats show that their career top flight scoring record is pretty similar (not that the stats are the be all and end all)
  7. Nolan? Most people who have watched football for a number of years knew how good Nolan was long before he signed for Newcastle. I think you need to have a read of the Nolan thread to see what the fans thought of him overall I understand a goalscoring midfielder would be a goldmine for your goal shy midfield BUT there are other aspects of football where Nolan comes up short
  8. Close, add 2 years. Aren't you a student? Nope. I finished being a student 2 weeks ago and I'm now in gainful employment. A mackem in employment? http://luse.ipt.net.nz/wp-content/uploads/2007/08/clay-davis-sheeeiiiiittt.gif
  9. BUT City's wages are huge and their income is not sufficient - if this rule is implemented properly they are fucked
  10. Surely Steve Harper is ahead of Krul after that awesome cameo of his a few years back
  11. Ba is a great signing BUT there is clearly an issue with his knee - it shows up in the medical and is obviously a concern to the medical people (hence he failed a medical twice) It does not seem to have affected him so far BUT the fans are rightly a bit concerned about it - which is why getting another striker in is hugely important
  12. It has been a good start to the summer - the expectation I guess is that we will still continue to strengthen the side significantly, the comments from Pardew don't really inspire much confidence in that happening. Though it might just be a bit of kidology from Pardew - guess time will tell
  13. That is my worry too Just a few more smart signings and we will have a canny side
  14. Change from what exactly? The Carroll transfer which Pardew said was going to be invested - granted not all BUT at least a decent chunk of it. As things stand we have spent nothing, doubt 2 more signings will make much of a dent in the £35million
  15. As things stand it will be 2 more (striker and winger) and it only be more if there are outgoings (like replacement for Enrique) Looks like there is going to be plenty of change left over
  16. Exactly, can't see it happening. On the other hand didn't we bid for him in January? That was never a serious bid - was so late in the day it was a joke
  17. So it is unlikely Mogwo will turn out to be a great player for us in the future? http://www.nufcblog.com/2011/02/16/focus-on-newcastle-youngsters-andy-mogwo/
  18. Street and Campbell were already part of the academy weren't they? Anyone know much about this Esteban Cardona Lopez? Not really. "Those first couple of days, they will be nervous about stepping in full-time. But we know the lads; they've been around the Academy for quite a number of years now so it's nothing new to them. The programme won't be any different other than the fact that they'll be full-time." ah right - I assume before they were still at school BUT it is full time at the academy now Good luck to them - heard good things about Campbell and Streete, looking forward to see how they develop

  20. Would have Jonas instead of Marveaux at this moment
  21. Got as far as this bit . . . could not go further
  22. If we still had carroll. Ba is good in the air
  23. Fair play to the Mackems for spending that kind of money Now lets hope he is the next Jon Stead
