It was a different French journalist - Xavier Rivoire (I think) but how gushing was he about Cabaye. If he is half as good as he said, we will have one helluva a player. Happy to stand corrected... Good to hear both them singing Cabaye's praises all be it a little over the top today I'm guessing... What did he say about Cabaye? Listen from 3:30 http://www.talksport.co.uk/radio/hawksbee-and-jacobs/blog/2011-07-22/rivoire-taarabt-deal-psg-still-cards And for those using Apple products... Hard to pick it all up as the journalist was very excitable at some points... With regards to his footballing ability he raved about his passing and dribbling and made a few comparisons with Messi which he knew as soon as he said that he didn't mean so literally but on the other hand didn't want them taken as throwaway remarks... If that makes any sense?... Intelligent and creative but not physical and good enough to grace the current top four... Man Utd and Chelsea weren't interested... Arsenal were concentrating on signing Gerviniho and Liverpool running short of money... Revealed during an interview with this journalist a soft spot for Newcastle after watching us under KK's first spell saying "They made us dream..." when watching Ginola and Tino etc... and also discussed the passion of the Geordie fans which he wanted to experience and convinced him to sign and give it his best shot... If you can track the interview down it's worth a listen... The tail end of it really got my blood pumping in a daft way... Got the feeling this lad knows what we are all about and he's not come just to pick up his salary... Can see him dovetailing nicely with Tiote and Ben Arfa... Sorry... Finding it quite hard to convey... Maybe others who heard it will make a better job of it! buy a better product?

Aye I would like to know where is this utopia that Colocho resides in?

You didn't http://www.fanhouse.co.uk/2011/07/19/pre-season-problems-mount-for-newcastles-alan-pardew/

I always thought he was a striker How did he do?
-
Is that Adam Campbell playing in midfield?
-
Surely Fergie is lying because the classy Sunderland would not do such a thing
-
Back in march Pedro was impressed with Mogwo, fast forward 3 months and he was released by the club
-
Just a nasty burn from what I saw - the dangers of setting the transfer market alight, you see. :mackems:

Queerside reckons Bardsley is better cos he scored more goals than Enrique :mackems:

Pre-season specialist Haris Vučkić joins FC Twente
Geordie Ahmed replied to Skirge's topic in Football
He is not a winger so playing him out wide was the wrong move tbh, much like Viana was forced to play out wide when he clearly wasnt suited to that position -
Why don't you bring them up?
-
Was given as a corner
-
6:40 gives away a pen And some shocking defending after 1:45. I missed that - was skipping the video The slide tackle was :mackems:

Is he going to the states?

6:40 gives away a pen

And how could the ref give a corner on the situation after that? Aye - that decision was worse than the pass from Cattermole, shocking decision
-
at 2:32 that pass from Cattermole :mackems:

I don't think Long is better than Best so money + Best would be a daft deal
-
Which would be a good thing BUT if that is the case then surely the club should tell us that is where some of the money is going

:mackems: :mackems: So Carroll was supposedly on £20k a week, Nolan £40k-50k, Fat Sol £30k and Kuqi what about £500? so that's around £100k a week in total Tiote's new deal, Cabaye, Marveux and Ba are all going to be on between £50k-£60k a week at a guess. Don't think it is a valid answer from AP about the £35m being spent, but he is probably right about the wage bill. I would be surprised if Cabaye or Marveaux are on that much Ba is supposedly on a heavily incentivised contract with a low basic wage Also Sol would be on more than that The wage bill probably has increased BUT I doubt it has by much - at least not enough to come out and use it as an excuse for the lack of spending why would you be surprised if Cabaye and Marveaux were on that much? Cabaye, one of the things in the french press when he signed that he was on a much higher wage with us than he was with Lille and Marveaux was a free transfer, they always lend themselves to larger wages so 50 even 60k is hardly impossible for them I think it was suggested somewhere that Cabaye would be getting around £30k, which is still significantly more than what he was earning in France End of the day who knows the true figures, I just find it hard to believe that the wages have increased by some distance Though having said that not sure why that should be taken out of the transfer fee, our turnover has increased so naturally an increase in wages should be accommodated BUT as we have clearly seen with this regime a lot of ambiguous statements are released and they are clouding the figures to make it seem like all of the money has gone

slowly BUT surely

:mackems: :mackems: To be fair he didn't say it was a large distance. No need to be fair to him, he is a lying cunt The wage bill won't have gone up that much, no way. He is just peddling lies for the fat controller
