Had no idea Pablo Zabaleta is now assistant manager of Albania alongside former Arsenal player Sylvinho and former Boro player Doriva
-
He absolutely loves himself. It's similar to that Molly Mae saying "we've all got the same 24 hours in a day"
-
A very strange man. Always found his brown-nosing of our fans nauseating
-
Nagelsmann to Spurs?
-
You do get players who play better on the international stage than they ever really have for their club. First ones that come to mind are Miroslav Klose and Podolski Think Harry Maguire is possibly in that category too
-
Just checked his club history on wiki. Italian football is so weird with their loan and co-ownership stuff
-
Gerrard's just said "he's like a duck out of water"
-
Dion Dublin just said Italy are "trying to get a shoehold in the game" Is that acceptable use?
-
Inject this bitterness into my veins
-
Yeah find the whole circus around it pretty annoying

Never seen this before, solid gold content

Soccer AM being axed About time but it was electric back in the day

doesn't feel that long ago he was playing for Boro
-
He can pop up anywhere

As a spectator maybe but if you're supporting or playing for a team involved a red card is justice. And a red card for the bigger team can make it a more entertaining game
-
Why should the team that have committed a red card offence be in any way allowed to still have 11 players on the pitch still? Jack Grealish gets sent off for Man City but they're allowed to bring Kevin de Bruyne on and still have 11 men on the pitch- how is that anywhere close to being fair
-
So Newcastle are playing Man Utd in a cup final. Fernandes breaks Isak's leg as he's through on goal and he's given a red card but can continue playing the game. Isak is stretchered off injured. Fernandes then goes on to score the winning goal in the last minute. You'd be happy with that situation because Fernandes will get a ban in upcoming games?
-
Horrendous In that world players can do as many leg breaking tackles as they want in a match knowing they won't get sent off. Where's the fairness in that?

Referees are full time in the the Premier League and Championship They don't have other jobs I'm pretty certain they'll be training a lot more than 1 day a week No idea where you're getting this stuff from
-
I really don't think it's largely down to their own making. They're just doing their job. I think it's a lot easier said than done to say that they should stand up more to a load of men surrounding screaming at them that they've made the wrong decision especially when they've made the right one. It's hard enough to referee a game of football anyway. There's probably an argument to be made that the FA should retrospectively punish teams and players for surrounding refs. But I think you're severely overestimating how one man in a high pressure environment is expected to do his job and contend with a bunch of men having a go at him for every decision he's making We'll run out of referees one day because it's not worth the abuse that they get every week.

I watched a clip of Villa vs Newcastle from a few years ago and completely forgot yous had Ross Barkley for a season
