There's a range of things you can do at the age of 16 you can't do at 15. I don't know why football has to be any different
-
15 is a child, they should finish school first

Gameweek 28 Wolves 0 v 2 Villa Bournemouth 2 v 0 Sunderland Burnley 0 v 1 Brentford Liverpool 2 v 0 West Ham Newcastle 1 v 1 Everton Leeds 0 v 2 Man City Brighton 1 v 0 Forest Fulham 2 v 1 Spurs Man United 2 v 0 Palace Arsenal 1 v 0 Chelsea

I'm not convinced a child should leave his hometown, school and his school mates at the age of 12 just for football

Around this time I like to look at potential targets from clubs that could be relegated. We've bought players in the past from relegated clubs (Tino, Barnes, Pope) but we're probably moving away from that. Haven't really factored in cost more just player profiles we may be interested in: Wolves Hugo Bueno - good age at 23 and can cover both right and left back positions. Was impressed by him at SJP but haven't seen a whole load of him and I don't think he's even been a regular for Wolves until recently. He might count as being homegrown too despite being Spanish (have to check that). Probably the Manquillo esque player we could do with in the squad Matheus Mane - playing regularly for them and only 18 looks a real talent Andre and Joao Gomes - both are Brazilian internationals and good ages. Neither have really stood out to me but might be just because Wolves are pretty rubbish Burnley Maxime Estève - regularly linked to Spurs and other Prem clubs, good age at 23, rated really highly by Burnley fans and think he'll be on the move this summer West Ham Jarrod Bowen - probably too old to get any resale value and not sure how much he'll want to leave West Ham even if they go down but a younger version of him would have been perfect for our right hand side Crysencio Summerville - would only be if we got rid of one of Barnes and Gordon but I've always liked Summerville Mateus Fernandes - could be two relegations in a row for him but could be a midfield option for us Soungoutou Magassa - not been a good season for him but he was highly rated before joining West Ham and he's only 22 Nottingham Forest Murillo - left sided centre back with good distribution and only 23 Neco Williams - not a sexy name but someone who can cover both full back positions and only 24 Callum Hudson Odoi - still somehow only 25 and an option should we need a left winger Morgan Gibbs White - will be 27 next season so if he's going to make a move to a bigger club it's going to have to be sooner rather than later Elliot Anderson - being earmarked for one of the Manchester clubs but will throw his name in there anyway Tottenham Hotspur Lucas Bergvall - rumours he was linked with Chelsea and Villa in January, only 20 and loads of potential there Archie Gray - not wholly convinced by him but only 19 and covers a lot of positions Dejan Kulusevski - hard working right winger, always really liked him but been out injured for ages Djed Spence - England international who can play both full back positions Micky van der Ven - fast centre back option, will be v expensive you'd imagine Mohammed Kudus - would be really good for our right hand side if he can stay fit Pape Matar Sarr - didn't realise he's only 23 - never been that convinced by him but could be a midfield option Leeds United Jayden Bogle - another unsexy name but he's been really good for Leeds, can cover full back positions and only 25 Brenden Aaronson - seems to be finally finding his feet in the Prem and played really well against us but not sure he'd fit well here Gabriel Gudmundsson - looks a really good pick up from Lille with a nice delivery and crosses. Could be a good alternative to Hall Ethan Ampadu - omly 25 but a real leader than can play defensive mid and cover centre back Pascal Struijk - Leeds fans think he's one of their best players - I can't say I've really noticed it but throwing him in there Anton Stach - German international, midfield option with a good set piece delivery. Can't see us being interested in him Dominic Calvert Lewin - looks fit and firing again and feels like he's older than 28
-
Still maintain that it's absolutely grim "buying" children for football clubs
-
As always it's just one human opinion versus another human opinion It's why it's never going to work
-
I think just a bit of common sense would have seen that's not a red card, don't need to be an ex player to see that. I don't think an ex player in there is the worst idea though but they'd have to know the laws inside out like the referees are supposed to
-
I get the point but that's because Harry Kane was and still is incredible
-
He's playing in the 8 role where we've played Willock, Ramsey and Joelinton. We haven't created a new role for Nick, he's just been put into another position within our existing system The question is why have we spent a record amount of money on a player who doesn't suit us as a striker nor do we play with a number 10.
-
9 as a striker But as said before he started brilliantly but has rarely looked like threatening the goal much the more the season has gone on
-
Of course they can. But do you sacrifice the team and system for the benefit of a player we don't even know where his best position is and if he's going to be any good there in this league?
-
I don't think anyone's denying he looked good when he initially joined but he was also able to win a header in the box when he first joined
-
He's not scored 12 goals for us
-
I've seen that a few times now that we should build the team around Nick I find that perplexing because I don't think he's shown anywhere near the talent that Isak showed when he first joined Would seem mad to overhaul everything just to accommodate a positionless Woltemade who I think most of us are trying to work out if he's even suitable for this league
-
We look a completely different team with Gordon up front because he can press and stretch the defence. I'm still struggling to work out what attributes Woltemade has to be a striker in our team. The Howe quote he says Nick is 6ft 7 so should be a target in the box but he's barely won a header since his first month of joining I don't think you can have a go at the forum for querying why our record signing we've no idea where he's meant to be playing for us
-
But we actively seek out less technical players in favour of better athletes, hence our pursuit of Elanga. Thats on the manager and recruitment staff and it's been really successful for us It's why us bringing in a technical player in Nick and not knowing where to play him makes it look like our record signing was a panic buy and we don't know what to do with him for the best
-
I'm not sure what point you're getting at though? Our whole game plan isn't based on technical ability it's based on speed and power not really intricate football.
-
Not sure what the plan is here Without seeing the interview seems to be a bit of frustration in those words
-
If we play Chelsea surely we won't given them an allocation of tickets in the Milburn Stand which usually happens for European games?
