  1. I dont agree at all. We might have a history of not creating many chances, but a lot of the few we did, we squandered. And in the very recent past, we've started to create a lot more chances relative to what we were, and we're seeing a lot more of the ball in the final third. And we have trouble soring. We have 1 finisher.
  2. I'm not exactly blown away by it, he'd not be on any list I'd compile. It was pretty underwhelming news but the more I think about it the more I at least understand the thinking. It is patently true that we create chances but dont finish them, x1000 without Wilson. He's a decent finisher in the box if we can get the ball to him. Again, not my level of ambition either, but if we are struggling to get the "bigger" players atm, or January transfers are proving difficult because clubs dont want to sell without replacements (we're after starters after all), I'd rather we had Wood in now than get to the end of Jan having several prolonged offers for strikers rejected throughout and us having to go for something similar right at the end. As long as we stay up we can upgrade in summer. We're desperate for able bodies to replace more than half of our team. We need 5 or 6 ideally. January isnt cheap, us having the means is going to make it harder. He's a decent backup for Wilson, playing a different style, obviously. And he'd be a decent partner. We just need enough goals to stay up. Thats what Im pinning my hopes on here.
  3. I'd much prefer a DM and a CB, rather than 2 CBs, if that was the choice.
  4. I honestly keep forgetting Willock is even here.
  5. From what I saw of him when he was performing for Norwich in the past, Cantwell would be a starter in our current midfield, imo. Not that Ive seen him perform for a while, mind. So Im unsure of his current form and trajectory. We need big players but also small improvements pretty much everywhere. If our scouting and management teams think he can come in an perform like Ive seen him do in the past, then I wouldnt disagree. If he wont cost much I'd take him, extra quality and competition can only help. Our squad is pathetic.
  6. Podcast, rather than TV... Troy Deeney on Louis Theroux's podcast is well worth a listen.
  7. I dont want, anybody else. When I think of Botman I touch myself.
  8. Course its not in doubt. He's done publicity photos on the pitch.
  9. Cantwell would at least be a player that drives the midfield forward and is good at running with the ball. Our midfield hasnt been a cohesive, functioning attacking unit for a long time and imo that's more about the ability of those in there than anything else. Bar Super Joe its slow, passive and scared most of the time. I think he'd be canny. Not a world beater by any means.
  10. Kamara would be mint. Leeds after him too apparently. EDIT: Oh, and Man Utd.
  11. Sounds like he might struggle to be fit again for at least 2 months. Still no timescale on his injury. And we absolutely cannot start Ritchie there anymore. At least we have Manquillo who can do a decent job there, but would be nice to get a second left back in. Then we can have Tripper and Manquillo for RB. Lewis and someone else for LB. Whether that someone else is backup/competition for Lewis or a starter Im not sure. We've struggled so bad being so thin on the ground with fullbacks though.
