I struggle to see how this is true if the wage cap is in effect as it blatantly will be. Especially with the loss of Nolan & Campbell. "Gone up by some distance" seems untrue to me.

I think everyone's concern is what if we don't sell players for big money in the future and the players we've bought are injured or don't work out. Where are we paying their wages from?
I understand their want to reduce the outgoings as much as possible to improve the books, but if we can't build a sustainable wage structure without one of the biggest ever transfer's we're going to struggle.
