Eh? What is this team he's ruined? He's bought Reina, Mascherano, Torres, Alonso, Agger. Rafa's purchases were not the cause of the problems. He could have bought better, but he didn't do badly. The early signings were good, and obviously not all are bad, and Torres is just Torres, but he always seemed to buy one or two players that were pointless. Vorinin Babel Keane Riera Lucas Penant to name a few. There just seems to be far to high a turnover of players, and over 200 purchases in 6 years. 200??? He bought 57 players. Of those players you mention, most were £7m squad players. Only Keane, at £18m, should have been expected to improve the first team. Which he didn't. I'm only trying to say that I reckon that kind of constant movement at a club can cause problems. Yes most of them were trainees, a lot were first teamers. Then a lot of the same leave after a couple of years. I just think the money was spent unwisely and the turnover was far too high for a side pushing to be one of the best in Europe

Including frees and trainee's Over 30 players a year? I have just searched it read it a minute ago so if its balls then I'm gullible, but...... http://www.liverweb.org.uk/benitez.asp Most of those are trainees/youth signings. Yeah, but its still payers in from somewhere else, that's the mistake we made. It doesn't build a team or a club, its just a massive bunch of constantly changing players

Jermaine Beckford signs for Everton. Yey!

He most certainly is. He doesn't have "a lot of pace" either. He's quick like Lovenkrands is quick. Nippy off the mark but by no means a strong runner. Correct. I don't think he's a brilliant finisher either. He's scored a lot because what he's come up against has been gash, he doesn't have to work much for his return. He'll really struggle in the box in the Prem where 90% of his game has been played -

The main reason I actually detest the man, is that elbow on that keeper (Can't remember the game, may have been MIillwalls keeper) from a corner. It was a blatant swing of his elbow, not a small raise of it, but a thrust into his face, and he knew it. Worse than that however was the interview he gave in the tunnel after, claiming he didn't see it or was unaware, smirking like a f**king dirty little charver thinking he was big and clever. absolute c**t of the highest proportions. He always swaggered around as if he was something special in Leeds too, with his shit wannabe gangster tattoos and his awful voice and lack of knowledge. And he goes to Love Dough and Gatecrasher and other horrendous places in Leeds. When you add it all up, he's a massive C**T!!!!!!!! -

He must be some player if he scored the most goals in the country over the last three years while struggling to hold down a place. How many games did he play in the arse end of the season? All of em. http://www.soccerbase.com/players_details.sd?playerid=43629 I don't research his stats but living in Leeds I know for a fact he was dropped after not scoring for a while and when Leeds went through that shit patch. I'm not going that up with links bu IM sure he was benched for a month or so. Regardless, he's a massive c**t and thats being kind to the wannabe so I'll slander him all day long -

I agree, especially as you don't really have the money either, but Beckford? You can't be happy wasting wages and a squad number on him. -

Dunno why you would be. Your take on the original photo is very very wrong. Clearly it's not a photoshop job. Some people are trying very hard to convince themselves that those shirts are fake. They're clearly not. I think its more in hope -
I think we'd struggle to sign a player as good as Taylor, especially as he's settled (obviously), familiar with everything and everyone and obviously has talent and good prospects if guided correctly. I don't think we'd get as good an option for £5mil so wouldn't sell him for £5mil

I'd Blitz Victoria Beckham like, her muff would look like The Port of London circa 1941. Its just a shame about the crap tha comes out of her mouth

Haha thats quality. I do like the guy like, seems to be genuinely decent everytime I see him on TV or pics etc.

I understand people defending the possibility of this because of the lack of budget, the goals he's scored etc. But in my opinion signing Boyd now would be a mistake regardless of the fact he's on a free and has a decent scoring record in SPL. He isn't good enough to get 10 in a Prem season if we're all being honest and thats with good service. He has nowt about him that can influence a passage of play or really create something for himself and in a season when we're going to be defending to the hilt the majority of the time I think he would be a luxury we can't afford and without providing much luxury. We need to play the waiting game a bit longer, see what we can get on a shoe string budget. I think he would be a wasted singing and prevent us from bringing in someone better in the next couple of months. Someone younger who's going to run around like a headless chicken and get 10 goals, 5 of them being tremendously flukey. Who'll tackle, pass and run, chase the ball to the touchline and try and whip a cross in... thats what we need!
