The first year, or even two would be understandable - they are taking this self-suffiency lark a bit far... Exactly. I doubt they even expect to keep the likes of Tiote past a couple of years.

I think everyone's concern is what if we don't sell players for big money in the future and the players we've bought are injured or don't work out. Where are we paying their wages from? I understand their want to reduce the outgoings as much as possible to improve the books, but if we can't build a sustainable wage structure without one of the biggest ever transfer's we're going to struggle.
