Give her a couple of Garys and a vuvuzela and banish her to the garden for the evening. NIGHT. MARE! -
Pretty much everyone reckons we need a new RB like. That's what I thought, I'm just scared of all this talk of playing Taylor there

Predictions for the first game.....? I'm going 1-1. Pienaar for Suid-Afrika with opening goal of the WC, probably that 'cant' Dos Santos to equalise with 15mins to go or something -
Only because of the nature of the positions. I'd still be inclined to say he's a better centre back than right back. I don't think some people realise how important another good full back is for us. I think its a priority over a new CB. Finding another player to balance out the right side, can help defend in the box, can stop people getting down the flanks and in behind, someone that can work in tandem with our right midfielder, or push up allowing out right mid to push inside etc. It'll give us a lot and take a lot of pressure off in other area's The contribution of Jose on the left has a big impact, for our centre backs, most definitely for Jonas, and for like likes of Carroll, Shola and runners into the box with his crosses. This is the reason i wouldn't want to stick him in there over buying/loaning someone better and keeping him for CB competition with the other 2. He doesnt tick any of the boxes I highlighted above.

I' in the Taylor for centre back camp myself. Would prefer he was a the club to be a centre back or back up right back and we hopefully purchase a new right back

Sadly true. I'd have been prepared to bin him but the money wouldn't get re-invested so there is little point. As long as we aint moving backwards. It's not beyond the realms of possibility for Ashley to grab 5-7 mil for one of them and then we end up buying some cheap gash as a replacement whilst using most of the money for his own gain. Rejecting 7mil (which is obv b****ks) is a good move for us I reckon, shows we at least have footballing priorities not just balance book priorities

Why do non-Geordies support Newcastle United?
Super Duper Branko Strupar replied to a topic in Football
I love the Georide-Nordic allegiance like. I wish I could say I knew as much about leagues in each of everyone's country, but I dont unfortunately. All my knowledge is off old CM's when the likes of Selakovic, Lucic etc were sh*t hot. Spent hours scouting random Norwegian and Swedish teams! -
Billy...you totally disregarded the word ILLEGAL in your statement. Illegal immigrants trying to get into Australia are caught and dumped on Christmas Island and left to rot. England tends to reward your illegals by giving them copious amounts of free handouts at tax payers expense whilst they spout all sorts of rubbish and hatred for their new adopted country. Yeah, we really are f***ing up big time over here and should learn from England..............LMAO One of many examples of why your opinion's are void

In fairness though, most of the population of America has come from elsewhere, and still live in a culture brought from where ever by the family members that went to America looking for 'Freedom'. In my eyes, America has yet to forge a real culture and way of thinking of its own other than the Republican, American dream, I like shooting etc. which is really an English purist/selfish/rebel against socialism way of thinking. To say its ridiculous for 'American's' to support other country's is stupid mindless nationalistic talk. You say its outrageous to support any country other than your own, I say its outrageous to support something just because you happened to be born where ever you happened to be born, especially as a vast population of America only decided to go there for what they thought was a better life, it wasn't really a desire to join 'their culture'. Eg. So if a 3rd Generation Mexican immigrant, born in America but Grandparents born in Mexico, they've held onto their old culture within their family and friends and community, why shouldn't they support Mexico?

Ronaldo... I don't agree that there isn't enough goals in this team to stay up next year. We're going to be an unknown (as in no other team will know how we play now), and quite physical, and I do think the movement and finishing and decent crossing of Lovenkrands and the power of Carroll would see us stay up, nothing more though. I do think you are right in your criticism of the overall quality of that strike pairing though, and of the two strikers, if we're only going to buy one new, that should be a striker that will be in more of a lovenkrands mould, someone to push him for his place, and hopefully, be an even better player so he keeps it and loven gets benched. Lovenkarnds is a little older, and the step up will be a massive test, against the likes of Terry, Vidic etc etc he'll really struggle. Luckily for us he will plug away though, put himself about take people on, come out wide and look for Carroll or runners into the box, so I'm confident he can push 10 in a season if he ends up starting for us. Like Dave though, I don't see us buying anyone better or more proven unfortunately
