  1. That McManaman touch almost going out for a goal kick
  2. Espinoza can't kick the ball straight
  3. It is not a cracking 0-0, Clive.
  4. Need a goal before 90 minutes is up so I can get back to the ironing.
  5. Yaya being moved into the Sissoko position.
  6. There we go again. McManaman's acceleration gets him into a decent position only to offer no end product. And again.
  7. Nice one Wigan, you've successfully defended your own attacking corner.
  8. Just like Pardew to a lesser extent. Yeah, they're very very cautious in their play. Most of their players keep to a rigid position even when pressing the final third and they always have a certain number of players back. Loads of times in the first half where a full back bombing on into the oceans of space, which Wigan were leaving out wide, could have opened doors.
  9. Espinoza is Wigan's Jonas, except that he can still run. Awful technique and everything else...
  10. Looks like he's going to be a very good player. Next James McClean. McManaman has been able to beat a player which instantly signals an upgrade on McClean. TBF on McClean he was doing the same when he first came into the Sunderland side. Has regressed and looks fat now. Got found out. I don't see anything in McManaman to suggest that he has that something special. Technique? Average. Intelligence? Nope, based on some decisions he's made today. Pacey, young, English and getting games.

  12. Man Utd and Liverpool in '96 has to be the most boring Cup Final I've ever seen. Either that or some match between Man Utd and Chelsea that I watched in Dublin and fell asleep in the pub. I watched that one in bed and also fell asleep. The Man'U-Chelsea final is the one that sticks in my head for being uber-cagey, but I still loved it.
  13. Superb spot by the referee for the dive, but where was the yellow card?
  14. With far more talent. Nah, Milner is infinitely better. And I can see McManaman's ability to influence games being reduced next season once teams know how to play him.
  15. Mcmanaman is basically the new (lesser) James Milner.
  16. Neither would imply there's more than one set of fans there. The empty seats aren't signing either. Nor the flashing advertising hoardings.
