  1. I have no idea, just used FMs search function to beef up the list with randoms.
  2. I think Ronaldo holds the higher ground here. Guys just need to stop with the petty shit.
  3. Green James Hart Terry Ferdinand Lescott Upson Rooney Defoe Crouch Heskey Current squad members.
  4. Improved as in you can now vote 4 of them Haven't given it a thought except to put it all together. Will vote later. Assume everyone will be fit or injured (depending on what they usually are). Go.
  5. Rooney - 87 (25%) Defoe - 78 (22.4%) Crouch - 66 (19%) Bent - 41 (11.8%) Heskey - 44 (12.6%) Agbonlahor - 32 (9.2%) Voting closed m'kay. Have set a closing time on the defenders one (all will do for all future editions). Rooney, Defoe, Crouch and Heskey made it. Obviously we will vote on taking a 5th striker at a later point.

    Wasted Talent

Mutu has proven himself to quiet the ultimate druggie though? Oh wait, football right. Yeah, totally wasted himself. Scary when I first saw him play at Chelsea.

On that front I give you Michael Johnson. Wasted his talent and hasn't got near to proving his ability as of yet. The fat drunken druggie him.

You see, you're right in that sense. Totally. But isn't football about winning? So to prove yourself to the up most limit in football is to win the most esteemed competition you can, as many times as you can. Hmm, so by my reckoning. Alan proved his ability, but wasted his talent.

    Wasted Talent

Not really, he was in a top european league playing for a team that at the team was tipped for the top, he played in the champions league and the WC. Over the year's he maybe wasted it to an extent, but he proved it more than anything by becoming the top scorer by some distance in one of the toughest and fastest leagues going. Pele proved it in the WC as far as I'm concerned, nowhere else. These threads are never easy to define as there is too much variety in measures/abilities/expectations etc. So you could say Shearer had the talent to captain a Champions League winning team. He didn't therefore he wasted his talent. Obviously completely subjective here. IMO Shearer did waste his talent with us. But he wanted to and we benefited from it. So no real complaints from either side, probably.

Oh and by your reckoning of Pele, Shearer could equally make your list. As instead of playing at a top European club, he 'wasted' his talent with us.

Pele I don't think for a second that his talent was wasted. Winner here is Gaza btw
  12. Haha. Basically, "you're costing me too much money so fuck off!" He took up the responsibility of Dyer's contract when he took the Chairman role. KD has every right to sit it out and try and get fit again.
  13. In an ideal world we'd be taking King, Woodgate, Ferdinand and Terry. King would be first choice and it would be a toss up between Woodgate and Ferdinand for the other starting place. Curse you injuries!
  14. OK, how about we don't assume that all players are fit (not on drugs...), but assume that they will be in their normal state? So the likes of Terry, Upson etc. should be fit... The likes of Woodgate should be injured. Seems pretty fair.
  15. Wouldn't get enough traffic to be warranted at present surely? Obviously, it would be essential later in the year.
  16. He'll be in the fullbacks poll - so you will be able to vote for him there (same for Brown). I've decided that we will run the remaining polls, i.e. Full backs (4), central midfielders (4), wingers/wide players (4) and then make a decision on whether to take a 5th striker. That way we can have a poll to see who drops out from the squad to make way. Smart eh?
  17. Terry, Upson, and Ferdinand Senior are all dead certs for me. Taking into account the assumption made in the OP. Oh and the assumption that Ferdinand has discovered how to play again and Terry hasn't fingered Capello behind their wives backs. 4th choice considerably more difficult as the other candidates are either meh, or haven't played well in an England shirt. So I've given it Wes Brown. A) He is a utility player. B) Fergy has the faith.
  18. Please assume that everyone is fit and nobody was high during the latest drugs test. If I have missed anybody who you think should be in contention tell me. You can change your vote this time. I will not reset the counter this time. Please also state who should be first choice, first choice sub, along for the ride etc. Before anyone mentions him, Carragher has (thankfully) retired from International football - and probably wouldn't have been quick enough to get on the plane to SA anyway. You have one day. Results of Strikers poll to be finalised in an hour if you haven't re-voted after my fail. Thanks for your time.
  19. Thread title needs to be: Grant unveiled as Brothel manager, Shirley?
  20. Doesn't really matter though, all you can do is feel sorry for the lad who's missing out. That doesn't equate to much either.
