  1. I’d rather do tomorrow because of the time difference (i’ll be out all afternoon here in the US with my girls) but if we do today let me know ASAP so I can set up my prices for auto draft.
  2. Just feels like a colossal waste of time. At least Intel got to plug their products, I suppose.
  3. https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/6948177/tottenham-kane-alli-trippier-lloris-race-to-be-fit/ It is The Sun THOUGH so naturally TAKE it with a grain of SALT.
  4. Wow, I had completely forgotten about that. I’m interested if others are.
  5. Vote well, vote Kaka. well which option should we take?
  6. yup. saw you playing in the home one and its a mess. is it supposed to be with white shorts?,w No, blue - but we wear white shorts in Europe.
  7. Our kits this year are fucking terrible.
  8. Well yeah. Also means you, you know, win a trophy .
  9. That makes more sense tbf. I mean, I wouldn’t pay it, but he’s an International keeper aged 30, no particular injury issues, should be able to do a job for someone. Ings on the other hand: if I sat down at the negotiating table and they said 26M I would probably stand up and walk out without saying a word.
  10. No idea. They're supposed to want 70M+ according to the usual bullshit, but my nearly-completely-random guess would be 60M or so. Presumably Chelsea would offer appreciably more wages, and weirdly he might have a better chance of a regular starting berth there if the rumours about Hazard and Willian being off are true.
  11. Rumour is that Palace have accepted both Chelsea's and our offer for Zaha, and now it's up to him to choose.
  12. A fair point, although on transfers alone Bournemouth, Burnley, Crystal Palace, and us have got worse. and Cardiff haven't really done much. Everton have replaced Rooney and Funes Mori with Richarlison, which isn't exactly amazing. Weirdly, I think you've done better than those six teams already, although of course that's going to change.
  13. Schurrle is a winger so probably not. Unless it leaves them skint, but I doubt it as they very much need a new striker - whether it's Mitrovic or someone else. So what about Sessegnon? Unless Schurrle now goes on the right. Makes me wonder if Sessegnon is on the move.
  14. Don’t know how strong this Dortmund team is, but Liverpool are pissing this.
  15. It’s also the least Liverpool Liverpool kit I can remember.
  16. Watching the Liverpool match. Their squad is so good now it’s frightening, although there was a nice Karius screw-up just now.
  17. Everton are doing exactly what Liverpool did between 2011-15. Buy bottom half players for inflated fees and wages in the hope of bridging the Gap to top 4 . But in reality all you end up with is mostly below average players on huge wages and become Deadwood in a season or two. We got lucky with Suarez and Sterling so we could set off those poor spendings. We literally have to give Downing for free after signing him for 20odd mil. Everton are doing the same thing now. Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk Yeah, that rings true.
  18. An (American, from Ohio) friend posted pics of him and his kid at the Man City friendly in Chicago. His son is - for no particular reason other than the obvious - a Man City fan. I am slightly ashamed to admit I am well chuffed that they lost 1-0 to a penalty.
  19. To add more stuff that you guys don't care about - it seems like one new problem in offloading players is that foreign teams now know that they can hang around until after our window closes and then pick up bargains from teams who have no choice but to ditch their deadwood. I suspect we will actually see a lot more loans.
  20. It does rather depend upon how you define a world-class manager. You can't ignore the fact that managers of Chelsea, Man U, and Man C, and to a lesser extent Arsenal and Liverpool, can essentially buy whoever they want. I'm going to hazard a guess that you're prioritizing their coaching ability, where there are still questions over Poch in-game. You have to consider the discrepancy in resources. With that in mind, I would argue that Poch is a world-class manager. He has managed a team with significantly less income than five of their rivals to 5th place, 3rd, 2nd and 3rd, in one of the toughest leagues to do so - a "world-class" league. 5th in each season would have been above par. We do need to budget carefully until the stadium stuff shakes out - the others barely need to budget at all. I do think a number of teams were poor last year, but you know, Huddersfield are still there, among others. I can see a lot of teams struggling again, which might help. We're still in that weird pre-season fog where teams seem to be "really going for it" like last year *cough* Everton *cough* Southampton *cough* West Ham *cough*. I think everyone will end up in about the same place, but fuck me, you're going to be struggling for goals if you don't get somebody in.
