I was going to say I hate the "chanting for the oppo" stuff, but then I remembered how much I loved Berbatov getting an ovation from some Turkish fans (Besiktas?) when he gave them a masterclass a few years back. When I was at games and the oppo did something great, we'd give them stick out loud then turn to each other and quietly mutter "fuck me, that was good". Mind you, I remember Millwall coming to the Lane *cough* some time in the early 90s and completely turning on their own team. It was hilarious.

Not in the slightest. I miss being good though, and they are two entirely different things. I'm not concerned about Poch, but the squad needs a kick up the arse, probably from the youth ranks. Poch needs to remake the team in his image. We've got too many ponderous, out-of-form or just not-very-bright players, and when you add that to a defense that is seriously rickety you're asking for trouble. Too much class in there to struggle, but some squad surgery is definitely needed.

Well I can think of one way in which we did. But yeah, we're so fucking mediocre at the moment. That's a cracking away European result though.
