Giggs would be an uninspiring signing.

Fulham aren't if it makes you feel better ...and you are doing business:
-
Actually can't remember ever wanting them to win a game. I mean, there must have been a couple of games v the Arse over the years, but I even wanted Arsenal to win the Michael Thomas game. I was young, and I really hated Liverpool back then.

Great player, can't understand how he's playing for Hull. Type of player who could have done a job for SAF at Man Utd. Not quite fit/mobile/quick enough, sadly. A five-man midfield really suits him, but he's never going to make that final step up to the elite. I really hope he keeps Hull up though - thought they looked really decent today.
-
Perfect. Nice buildup too.
-
Hull playing some really nice football too. Should have buried that, obviously.

...and while I'm at it - this NBC online thing is fucking magic. First chance I've had to use it.

Really rooting for Huddlestone. I'm not unhappy that he left, but I love watching him play.

What the fuck is going on? I've been at work all day.

They will have to improve mentally for that to happen, its all fine and dandy buying players but going from CL spot contenders to title challengers is mainly about mental than any ability you have. Chelsea, Man Yoo and City have been there, seen it and got the T-Shirt. Spurs while they have a talented squad have not won anything and that is massive disadvantage in winning a league. Well sort of, but it is about ability really, isn't it? We're getting all excited because we (might) have spent 90M or so, but Man City have spent more than that already this window, and only recouped, what, 10M on Tevez? The top two or three are still operating on a different financial level.
-
Rumoured to be off to Germany - either loan or sell. Again, I can't get (more) excited until Lamela and Bale are confirmed, but if they happen then fuck a duck, this has been crazy.
-
Yeah, fair play. Can't see past City or Chelsea this year tbh.
-
Cracking start to the Celtic match.
-
I still expect the Arse to spend a shit-ton of money. It's not as if they don't have it available, or don't have a real need to spend. It's actually shaping up to be a real battle at the top of the league, because a couple of specific injuries can screw everything up. Just look at City at the back without Kompany. Chelsea look like being dour but effective, but Man U are very reliant on RVP, and we'd struggle bigtime if Soldado got injured. Liverpool will be there or thereabouts, and Everton could do well if there is Fellaini money to spend.
-
Don't think we'll be that lovely to watch, because that's not really AVB's style, but hopefully we'll be effective. If we keep on winning 1-0 that's fine by me.

Lamela, Soldado, Paulinho and Capoue. Well played, Tottenham. Still not going to get excited about Lamela until our official announcement. I'm also nervous that the Bale thing will fall through. Still, if it works out, and we get the Romanian CB too, and Eriksen, it's an epic, epic window. Lamela, Soldado, Paulinho, Capoue, Chadli, Eriksen, Chiriches. Fucking hell. And we wave goodbye to Bentley, Gallas, Ade (probably), Caulker, Parker, Bale, Dempsey and Huddlestone. And, depending upon the Bale money, we might even be in credit. That's fucking insane. RAWK's transfer forum is worth a look btw. Nearly all the threads are suffixed with (No Spurs), and almost all of them are locked anyway: http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?board=31.0 Apparently the admins had an eppy over people moaning about Spurs.

Still time for Chelsea to come in...
-
You can have Chadli on the bench too.

Worst analogy ever. Not really. You know before you enquire what you think the thing is worth, and what you're prepared to pay, which is exactly the same as the situation Arsenal are in. The car doesn't have to make a decision on if it would prefer you to drive it or someone else. And also, the option of the car dealer keeping the car until its contract runs out and anyone can pick it up is not a common one. Honestly, henke, it's a terrible, terrible analogy .

He was unlucky not to get a goal or two at the weekend. Considering bringing him in myself. I was hoping his price would go down a bit last week, as I fancied him to get a couple against Swansea. Got him in anyway. I think/hope it's only a matter of time with him.

Immediately. Any transfer point deductions come out of the next gameweek. So if (say) I transferred Hazard out now, it would happen at his current price? And I would still get his points for this week? Sorry to be a bore about this. Yep, you'd get the 9.5m and whatever points he earns tomorrow. Cheers, it's making sense . You can see how much research I've done... That's not true. Hazard won't be active for your team until the next gameweek (when Chelsea don't play IIRC). Squads are frozen at the gameweek deadline (usually around 11.30 of Saturday). No, in my example he's already in the team, I'm transferring him out. I was just using him as an example because he isn't playing next week, so you would expect his value to drop a bit. If you were going to transfer him out, then the earlier the better...I guessed.
-
He's owned a holiday flat/home there for ages I believe - since 2008. Not that that doesn't mean he's signing for Real, naturally. BTW, the rumour is that there were a whole load of deals lined up (across several clubs) that were dependent upon Willian going to Spurs, and that that is one of the reasons Chelsea threw a spanner into the works.
