Aye it was already called into question, rest of his post is solid. Anyway there were quite a few ideas going around at the time, in regards to Barfa. People also wanted him played off a front man (where hed been quiet), behind a front 2, on the left. Pretty much anywhere aslong as he was playing.

Very young, can still make it. Could've done with the first team experience this year though in the cups. He'll still have the technique/strike on him, main issue he needed to sort was his movement anyway & finding space so he can affect the game more.

Good post, agree with all of that. Marveaux especially would be so useful if he could play at his previous level, had a great cross on him from the left to.

Maybe if Warwick Davis was in net then I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, but I reckon the vast majority of PL 'first choice' keepers would have saved it. A few of the second choice ones would have too. Please tell me - will Krul be back for the derby? He has about 2 seconds to change from preparing to intercept a cross on the front foot to backtracking to stop a looping shot from hitting the top corner. Like claiming Cech should've saved Cisse's really. No one would've said owt if Krul was in goal. Please don't tell me you've just compared Cisse's goal to Cleverley's? Well yes in that id not expect either keeper to save them, wild like.

Just perception aint it. Think you guys are underestimating the affect of the ball looping like that, hes not the first keeper to concede a cross/shot.

There's a reason for it being said. Yes which im suggesting is due to a bias against Harper, rather than him actually being at fault for that goal.

People have bizarre expectations to expect any keeper to save the 3rd tbh.

Its definately Ba like. We've obviously tried to accommodate both him & Cisse by using both upfront with Barfa on the right. With Cabaye covering for Tiote and being out himself, its not had much chance to click. The odd thing is Cisse did score goals last season as a pair at times, Ba is scoring goals this season as a pair. Just seems like when one starts a run of scoring goals, the other cant handle it. They've both missed penalties & clear chances in that time when the others form started flying.

That was the 2nd time this season we've used it with our first choice midfield in the prem.

I think you will be in the vast minority there Ofcourse he is, that doesnt mean hes wrong.

Pardews a clever chap, we'll be fine. You shouldnt give up on people so quickly lads.
