Ultimately these convos just show which of us places more trust in the board/system we've set up allowing our recent success. Think some of us just trust that ultimately the choices theyre making are for the greater good, our recent success & how we've achieved that backs this idea up. All of us wanted more players, some of us are just more open to the idea that there are reasonable reasons behind why it hasnt happened. Obviously if you dont have that, then you still suspect that theyre purposely showing no ambition, wont adapt their ideas regardless of its benefit to our league status & you're going to be unhappy. Only thing we can do is see what happens.

You're saying it's difficult to sign a player who will greatly improve us, who wants to come here and is available at an attainable price Sign him and a young backup striker for a few million and not 1 person would say we've had a bad/average window. If you're referring to Debuchy, no. If the details of that come out & we've missed him by a few million, then its obviously a failure. But more due to negotiation than us being unwilling to meet his cost, i think we've just pushed our luck to far myself. Outside of that as far as im aware, Pards has come out & said our other targets are happy at their clubs. Seeing as many of our targets tend to be in strong sides already, yeah its not easy at this point to upgrade the team. In comparison to sides like Reading, West Ham or Championship clubs whos spending keeps being compared to ours. As for young striker, Rhodes went for 8m. Maybe the value for money isnt there at the moment when compared to what we already have? Our scouting team probably knows better than we do huh.

Makes more sense than most of yours ill give you that

Feel free to put one of your well reasoned responses jack mate

The spending argument is ridiculous like. People spend more money on something thats broken compared to something that works well. Its also easier to upgrade crap than it is to upgrade something that again works very well. Ofcourse smaller clubs are finding players to piss money away on, we would be if we were them.

We have? There's just as much ammunition to argue that our success is in spite of our 'business model'. In what possible way? I dont really see how we could have sorted our finances & improved ourselves on the pitch massively much more efficiently atall since we sold Carroll.
-
You already know the point being made, half our first team exists due to selling Carroll. You cant use the sale as an example of lack of ambition when we've used it to further our success.

They aren't. They are paying over the odds just to stay up. West Ham will achieve f*** all this season but they've bought enough goals to avoid relegation. As opposed to us, who sold our only PL standard striker in the January transfer window during our first season back? It's relentless, this nonsense. Thats not really a great example of a poor move on our behalf is it given the long term result.

Is basically the main concern i had last time. If we're to get anywhere we'd have to play more senior players, unless we accept its mainly experience for the younger lads & dont expect to go very far. Spurs negotiated it best last season.

Looks most comfortable beating his man down the line. Played very well, will still have to mix it up more in the prem.
-
The only two possible outcomes? Tinting both to being positive is the whole point
-
You could tell with the force Pards clapped his hands at the end he's seething
-
Definately lucked out a lot, cant miss so many chances
-
Well we either knock Man Utd out or get less games this season, look at it like that
-
Why did the crowd just give up when Amalfitano got the ball
-
Looks completely normal to me

Really need more to fall for Ba, everything lands at Vuckic
-
Interesting how we've gone from Marv to Bigi taking everything

Desperate to get a shot in because he rarely recieves the ball to his feet. It was our issue v chelsea.
