  1. All much better than what we have. Have you seen Shola's injury record? He's injured now actually. First part is obviously debatable, especially with the players we could play off Shola in comparison to them. Outside of that, you're basking in negativity. Best got injured all the time aswell, would you want a 5th striker then? Lets not consider the injury records of our other strikers in comparison either, because everyones going to get injured regardless obviously & we need to throw money at it. Again, read what I've posted. I've said we need a replacement for best only 2-3M not a 12M striker hardly throwing money around. Basking in negativity, if we go through a injury crisis upfront I'll be reminding you of all of this. Replacement for Best suggests you were happy with Best, a guy who you just said earlier was out for the 2nd half of the season. But to you Shola isnt a solid enough option as he has a dodgy injury record. Solid talk as always. A replacement for a player that's left the squad shows I was happy with Best. Laughable. Here's a tip, search google for the word SQUAD. You need to learn about it. I asked if you'd have wanted a 5th striker if we'd kept Best due to his equally dodgy injury record. You replied saying we only need a replacement for best. Try to explain the context of that reply from your current position of "i was just saying we need a new player" as it has no relevance to my question.

  4. Well we struggled without him for sure So what happens if Ba and Cisse are away in the ACON or both become injured. Shola and Sammy are the only options and they are both injury specialists as well. And unless AC49 explodes like Rooney he's too raw to be put in the mix either. As said, the fact that we have two of the best strikers and the league, as well as one of the best prospects in the country covers up the depth problems we have. Exactly, I just fear an injury crisis upfront and having no suitable backup. Chamakh, Harry Kane, Shola Ameobi, Naismith, Ruiz, Lita. These are the strikers we & those potentially around us are relying on if they lost both their strikers.
  5. Well we struggled without him for sure
  6. Best gave me a sense of security last season that we could rely on someone who is hardworking and professional enough other than Shola if we lose our best forwards. Putting all the weight on Shola just does not inspire confidence, while Campbell is too young imo to be put weight on. Best didnt play last season after we got Cisse. He played because we only had Ba. People keep comparing the side that started the season as if Cisse was a part of it. He wasnt, he has more or less replaced Best. The extra striker we have lost is Lovenkrands.
  7. You dont understand, have you seen these interviews with Pards? He comes across showing no signs of discontentment atall, but hes clearly gutted poor guy. He has to be, because theres people on a forum with far less information who are unhappy. Its the logical conclusion. Cant believe theyre doing this to him.

    Four MASSIVE months

I imagine you said similar last season

    Four MASSIVE months

Our current back up options: Upfront: Barfa, Marv (Obviously not upfront in a 2, but we have several formation options) Wing: Marv, Obertan CM: Anita, Jonas, Perch RB: Perch, Santon, Raylor LB: Anita, Perch, Raylor CB: Williamson, Perch. You look at our first choice back up, its relatively strong.

Who beyond Debuchy are we strongly linked with who could improve our first team? Its all dependant on injuries & the only guy id REALLY worry about replacing is the CB who hasnt had a long term injury in 7+ years or whatever it is. The rest have shown they are capable enough. Arsenal, Spurs & Pool have all equally had dodgy starts for the likes of Everton & Swansea who look stronger. The worrying is OTT.
  11. Strikers need constant games to stay confident, thats my concern. Id want BA/Cisse to be shown faith if their form wasnt at its best, so that they could reach the potential theyve shown. You have another big Striker on the bench it adds a lot of pressure to drop players easily, not sure we need that. Ba already moans when hes barely out of position, you can imagine what hed be like.
  12. Arsenals 2 games have probably been the worst in the prem so far for finishing
  13. Im so glad we didnt sign Gervinho, people think Obertans frustrating
  14. Has 4 teams in the league, he'll just start using whichever one does best.
  15. Pards said pre season neither 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 matter to much, you control the midfield you control the game. Probably true 2nd half, but no use controlling the midfield if you cant find your strikers. Final pass/delivery was poor.
  16. He'll come good, learnt a lesson today. Cabaye gave a pen away in one of his first games last season aswell or a backpass that lead to one anyway. Cant remember.
  17. They closed off the delivery to the strikers, it took us out of the game. That simple. Barfa was dictating much of our play, but we werent penetrating their midfield to the strikers with ground passes atall.
  18. First time Ba's recieved the ball and been able to turn on it, ofcourse they have no chemistry
  19. Cant judge the strikers to much on service like today, doesnt build confidence barely touching the ball
  20. Chips are not working, cant get it into the strikers feet. Thats why we've been done.
  21. Cant get the ball to Ba or Cisse atall, the short passing back to defence is fine but we're getting nowhere if we keep having to lump it
