MarĂtimo vs Newcastle (20/09/12) 6pm KO - Live on ESPN

Bit baffled by this League Cup, Sammy and Fergie. That makes sense, thought it was the prem game. Derp. -
The agents probably a mate. He says Demba's happy with us & loves our supporters in the original comments anyway. That theyd look for other solutions if Demba continues to be a sub, its an over-reaction but theyre obviously hyper sensitive about keeping his status high. Might be due to the knee, likely because his agent wants to make money from BA getting a big move in future.

Bit baffled by this -
From his agents comments he's confused what happened after ACON & basically Ben Arfa is what happened. Demba was unfortunate that he lost a bit of form & Ben Arfa's best position was prioritized over his. This season we seem to be accommodating him to try Ben Arfa elsewhere to see if we can fit them all in with even better effect, hopefully we can long term.

Its generally not easy for a midfield to support a striker either when the majority of your side is camped near your area due to constant pressure & Williamson continually shits the bed and hoofs it long. The Perch/Anita change enabled us to break up their attacks better before it got to that point.
-
He said in the sky interview after more or less he was unhappy he didnt start. "For me i deserve to play & i hope the people who decide just saw it". Thats normal for a striker though. No idea why some are already talking of us moving him on due to quotes from his agent, the seasons only just begun. Some people get so carried away with singular situations. Itll likely be forgotten about in a few weeks.
-
Wonder if he'd have been subbed on if we'd have signed the extra striker people wanted in the window.
-
When Cisse first joined he was missing 1on1's, simple headers & scoring ridic goals instead. Fletchers return is good, but theyll want to be creating a lot more rather than relying on him converting at that rate.
-
Nah, rewatch the goals. I was ready to defend him before also, but you can see he leaves to much of the goal open especially on the 2nd.
-
Harper would've saved that
-
Its in his agents best interests that Ba's status stays high, nothing to surprising about his quotes. Bit ridic but wouldnt worry about it.
-
Everton were clearly unlucky in the game but luck is what it is. They opened the scoring last season at home with a massive deflection & were lucky in the first place that half our defence got crocked directly before this match. So yes unlucky in the game, just as we were outside of that.
-
He does seem to close to his near post on both goals for some reason, oddly more a positioning issue than reflexes. That save from anichebe onto the bar to make it uncertain was brilliant tbh people would be raving about Kruls reflexes if he'd done that. Hopefully he watches the goals back and sorts it.
-
If we were to play 3 upfront again, id say Demba has certainly earnt the central spot now. Just as Cisse had leading on from last season.
-
No idea why anyone would purposely prefer to think our first half play was more indicative of our ability than the 2nd & try to base an argument around it.
-
Not getting away that easily. What happened to Cabaye being awful "wake up" etc. Ever considered changing your name OTTer ? Cabaye was awful first half and improved hugely after the break. Not sure what your point is. You hold loads of conviction in massively negative points of view over many issues & you are proven wrong near every occasion yet never learn. Thats all mate.
-
Desperate to find negativity arent you jack

lovenkrands is proper buzzing for us on twitter

Tbf it balanced out. He never shouldve saved that one that crossed the line & he shouldve done far better with their 2nd goal.
-
Great changes. Perch in midfield worked so much better, perhaps leaving BA out actually fired him up to that extent also. Solid result for him.
-
Super sub man, really suits the role
-
Interesting comments from him. Said he was motivated as he wasnt happy with "some things recently".
-
Best performance since Cisse joined. Back to his best tonight.
-
Class match that. Ba was brilliant & our formation worked so much better. Really positive after that.
