It hasnt been one of the best defences in the league recently. Colo is a good defender, but he's hardly a commanding centre back. So Williamson will not only have to have a good game, but likely take charge of several situations.

He'll have to have a very good game to come out of it well. Being dropped in next to Colo with no understanding of eachother wont be an easy start.

Cardiff arent going to sell players to rivals when theyre pushing very close for promotion themselves Moses will likely have prem interest & Cleverleys obviously enjoying his loan experience at watford. Routledge is a solid signing for a weak position, absolutely pointless getting down on it before hes played.

Portsmouth probably trying to shove in a sell on clause like his last couple clubs or one based on promotion

Defence has been our weakness recently, we've then lost two of them on the side of the oppositions best player. We have a guy who plays in that position for Argentina on occasion & our top assister to come back and replace him on a wing if needed. Its hardly a strange idea really. Maybe with two capable wingers we'd spend more time attacking than defending for a change & boss the game a little more, but its a gamble either way. Id prefer to see Guti & Rout on the wings though ina game against someone like palace.

It makes sense to an extent, itd just be dissapointing.

Some random stats.... We've scored atleast twice in 9 of our last 11 games. In all of the last 4 games we've conceded, atleast one of their goals has come from a corner. So we're not dealing with them well. So score + dont give away corners = sorted.

You'd hope so. It may be that theyre able to double up moreso because of our slow midfield than lack of right winger though. If we had someone who could attack the space left if one of them from the middle comes over, we're have been sorted a while ago. Its either that or they use wingers who can actually defend also. If we had players who could knock nice passes across the pitch though, we'd be able to use a pacey right winger to stretch defences much more & creates gaps. Hopefully we will lets see what happens.

Its bizarre but Chopras only actually scored in 6 league games. He just gets loads in the games he gets one. So he either turns class with confidence, or only takes apart poor defences.

Makes sense that hed be more motivated by playing against better opposition if he's started feeling like he's above the current level he's playing at.

Seems unfortunate that we'll likely drop our highest assister for the new guy with the same amount of assists. Need Guthrie to sort it out in the middle so we can accomodate both. If Guthries on the right hand side of centre he should be getting in similar positions anyway. The west brom game's probably put that to bed though for a long while.
