Generally results come before keeping players happy. Thats players who havent just assaulted someone also.

Had a feeling he'd pick Butt. Never thought hed play all 3 of Smith, Nolan & him though, pointless man. 4-5-1 was acceptable when we had injured strikers and some were off form. Now even Harewoods doing alright, Ranger gets his first, Ameobis back & scoring, Lovens looking good and he chooses 4-5-1 with justglassedsomeoneinthefaceCarroll upfront ?? I like Carroll. But to choose him after recently with everyone else in form, seems a bit past moronic.

If Nolans actually upfront and not behind Carroll then he'll be useless. He hasnt scored any of his goals upfront, he'll be marked out of it. Its a crap lineup regardless.

Looks like he might get another game. Smith being mentioned as keeping him out suggests that he'll be replacing him this time.

Theyre all midtable prem players who will look decent in a good side, poor in a poor side & have the odd stand out game. Put Guthrie in the villa midfield, he'd prob look class to

I would agree. He still has to earn an extension to his deal but he's a different type of player to the rest in our squad. Still handy to have around for me. Dont see much point in keeping him around. We wont buy him with 4 other strikers because hes a bit handy at times. He has to stand out & prove himself to be much better than what we have right now & he hasnt done that atall. Its just been decent & even that was a step up from initially being useless. Carroll/Ranger both have time to gain experience & improve & will likely be with us in the prem. We'd do far better to give them as much experience as they can get in the first team in a lower league in that time.

Harewoods clearly the one we dont need. Ameobis our best finisher upfront so far with the confidence he has now, a different player. Lovenkrands pace is just always useful & Ranger/Carroll will be our next Ferdinand/Shearer. Obviously.

It'll just be Nolan in for Butt. Actually He might even drop smith instead after that game, wouldnt be suprised. Rest will be the same. And a 2-1 win for us.

Does well to give Ranger a chance, take it for granted now really but many wouldnt have. Even the Butt decision turned out alright, though we'd probably do better with Guthrie. Cant argue with 7 wins in a row at any level, to be that consistant is very very good.
