Our first attack goes through Gutierrez again, pushing the entire reading team further back. Notice ppl !!
-
Coventry taking the early lead then in the champ
-
Id have Ameobi down as more likely to score than nolan tbh
-
bartons far more likely to score currently than Nolan.
-
We'll defo be playing youth players quite often this season, when you consider the number of injuries we normally get. This is probably the relatively fit version of our squad right now with only guthrie & butt out.
-
Think Nolans header last week shows how dangerous he currently is infront of goal About 80% chance that if we score today it'll go through Barton somehow
-
Think the teams as good as could realistically be expected. Reckon Lua lua & Ranger might get a good run out today to.
-
Looking foward to the game, reckon we'll win if Bartons playing in the middle.
-
Dont think Simpson will start today, reckon he'll leave R taylor there. Then just mess around with a midfield of Nolan, Barton, Smith & Jonas somehow. Carroll & Ameobi upfront still.
-
If Ashleys still in charge we'll have a v hard time keeping a hold of anyone who impresses. Depends largely on who the manager is at that time aswell though....making the moronic assumption that we might actually have one at some point ofcourse.
-
Its all on barclays then, atleast we're close to a conclusion now.
-
just looked it up after to check how many he got Something like 5 lol Swear i read that somewhere. Must have just been that one of their strikers was top scorer & he set up the lad a few times.
-
Howd he manage to have the top assists in La liga if he cannot pass ?
-
lol Where as all those other lads we had were pissing assists all over the place. Nothing to do with the entire team being crap atall.
-
Think its very easy to optimistically overestimate the abilities of kids we havent seen play much for the senior team & pretend theyre single handedly going to change how great our side is. Our problem going fowards is our central midfield has no creativity (unless barton actually manages a full game) & our fowards movement is useless. Its likely theyll end up looking just as useless as duff or Guti, except be more inexperienced at the same time. When the men in the middle are easy to read and slow as hell, it becomes much easier to mark wingers out of it.
-
Yep, would take lovenkrands back in a second.
-
I agree. Seems most dont want to risk the chance of us not getting promoted though & of anyone else buying us in that time if we werent. So theyre accepting our chances of promotion most likely being greatly reduced so we can lower the wage bill right now.
-
With Ashley in charge anyone that performs for us could be gone anyway. Even if ranger turns out to be pure class, January transfer window will come around...he'll get lots of attention & fat man will choose instantaneous money over any chance that we might only be promoted if we keep these players.
-
So we're now probably selling the only midfielder we have who can get a few goals. Yer we're defo going up. I can see ameobi, nolan & Guti getting loads for us. Or maybe colo will pop up with one of his trademark powerful headers from a set piece. Then we have the youngsters who have barely even played let alone started for the senior team, they'll defo get a load. Its a certainty. We're not leaving ourselves well and truly f***ed atall. Even if we miraculously dont score a ton of goals, we have our brilliantly organised defence to snuff out the oppositions chances.
-
Reasons 2 & 3 are not reasons Ashley would care about.
-
Hes our only midfielder who can actually score, the only one we have. If we sell & do not replace him, we may aswell give up on promotion right now.
-
He mighta been playing, but he didnt cross for the equalizer. Theyve basically just made that up.
-
They did a few times. Owen generally just got marked out of the game towards the end, his movement went downhill...maybe demotivated with not getting it when he made decent runs. Plus Martins didnt have the best movement either, so he'd often just be standing right next to Owen...instead of pulling defenders away from eachother.
