  1. Yeah but seems like a bit of a pointless game & not much to cheer for. Could be 5 or 6 by this point. Kind of expected.
  2. what a s*** comment. Just reality, dont get upset about it. its also reality we dont have world class players and a world class manager like england have. f***s sake. and........... ? and that renders your doom mongering pointless. maybe next you can say how rooney plays much better than ameobi. Unless you believe only the very best worldclass players are capable of good movement and decent passing i dont know what you're on. Dont disagree that it takes good management....i fail to see why you're upset with my point. it was the doom mongering that was unnecessary and boring. not EVERY thread needs to be about how "OMG we r s*** innit". Its not doom mongering though is it yes. stating a blatantly obvious fact for no reason other than to express just how s*** we are compared to a world class team is doom mongering. gerrard's playing better than nicky butt. how f***ing typical lol thats not doom mongering Its a passing comment on what Newcastle have been lacking this season. Im not stating any opinion towards the likelyhood of our future being in the prem.

  4. Should be battering them by now, cut through them so many times

  8. Good through balls & good movement. Complete opposite of newcastle so far.
  9. 1: Disagree with quite a bit personally, no suprises there. You cannot say all he does is get sitters, nothing more. As ive said before, look at both west ham games....look at the portsmouth game, look at the stoke game. No one else in our side has finished better than he did in those games all season, bar Martins strike v aston villa which id say is right up there. You could easily say the same of martins scoring sitters. The reality of it is, Owen gets no space. He doesnt have a trick bag of skills or pace like Jonas, Martins etc but he probably gets marked more than they do. Add on top of that the fact thats he's basically a small lad who never had a massive frame....and ofcourse he isnt running down flanks, assisting endless goals. He's put defenders under as much pressure as Martins, Lovenkrands etc this season...so dont understand the claim that he doesnt pressure em. One part i agree with is the fact that had Keegan not moved Owen behind the front two, we'd have probably been relegated. Simply because this position gave him space.....a player like viduka who could actually hold up the ball and pass it like a half decent midfielder in a far more attacking position made him much more efficient for us. Dont agree with your claim that very few sides would be able to accomadate owen, any side with only 1 midfielder capable of through balls could EASILY. But how can you claim to want rid of a player who you have agreed saved us from relegation through scoring lots of goals when he was played in a position which they havent tried once since ? How is this owens fault for being ineffecient & not simply down to our management being complete sh*te. Think the real problem here is people wanting Owen to be effective in our crap tactics & being annoyed that he cant do more for us regardless of how we're ignoring every single strength he's ever had and playing directly towards his weaknesses. As if they're bored of blaming Kinnear, Hughton etc...so Owen just needs to suddenly transform into some strong...tall player who can control a long ball easily....hold off a defender...do a few nutmegs and cross it in. He was never that player, yet he was world class. So you cannot really blame him for being ineffective in our side currently.....even at his best he probably largely would have been..seeing as the MAIN issue is the fact that our side cannot pass the ball along the ground for boll*cks and we all know it. 2: The basic reality of it is Owen knows he's playing in a side which isnt playing to his strengths. He knows he isnt even touching the ball in these matches. His career has taken a gigantic knock simply through being injured & now when hes not injured he plays in a team who cannot pass from midfield & so barely gets any chances. Then when he finally does he hasnt touched the ball for 5-6 games so doesnt have the usual confidence in his ability...etc etc gets slated etc etc career goes further down hill etc etc. The guy will be 30 at the end of this year. He probably wants to finish his career on a high & we all know if he keeps playing in this CURRENT side (assuming no miracles take place and we actually get a decent manager) the end of his career will be seen to have done nothing but gradually fade away. Always seen as the guy who never recovered the top of his game. Facts are, if you're Michael Owen & you know other sides are interested who you're far more likely to suceed in.....you only have a few years left. You're completely out of the England set up...playing in a side fighting relegation.....You're going to look for other opportunitys. Regardless of how much you've been paid. Whilst owen has been a let down for us, Newcastle will have been a let down for him. Doubt he expected to be playing in such a crap side years down the road, just as we didnt expect his endless injurys. Regardless he showed more loyalty than even Given over the January transfer window. Atleast looking to keep us up before he goes (assuming he does), where as Given preferred to have a moan and leave his club in it instead of helping out.
  10. Problem with Englands fans is everyone takes their grudges from the prem into the national game. So they hate Lampard, or Gerrard, or Rooney etc when they appear for England simply because they dislike them in the prem. While ignoring the fact that these are class players who are representing our country & we should be glad of that. The premiership has taken over massively, clubs over country for most nowadays. Should be equal Imo.
  11. Yeah i see your point, what a clown. A guy who loves representing his country so much that he played for them when he was asked to by his manager in the hope he'd help them through a competition. What a ridiculous thing to do, a decision in which he was not influenced anyway whatsoever. Yeah its great how he had a disasterous injury which has largely so far ruined his career at Newcastle, now we can get relegated. What a brilliant opinion.
  12. Not sure stating the truth is ass kissing tbh, changing your opinion overnight would be. He's playing very little, doing very little, giving no loyalty whatsoever. The little tete-a-tete with Ericsson showed that clear enough. On the plus side, he has scored a few goals. Just nowhere near enough. Has he let fans down ? YES. Is he an expensive failure ? However you look at it - YES. Hes playing very little through injurys - All his fault ? No. You cannot say he's let us down, as for all you know we'd have been relegated by now without him. Same for your comment on him being a failure. Loyalty doesnt necessarily come into it when your career is being destroyed by injurys each season and you're playing at a club with the worst recent injury record of everyone in England....probably europe over the last few years. Think even the most loyal players would doubt their position in that situation. Career > Club.
  13. I still follow England strongly, dont understand why anyone wouldnt. Suppose some set their expectations high & get bored of being let down. But our fans should be more used to that than anyone else.
  14. Not sure stating the truth is ass kissing tbh, changing your opinion overnight would be.
  15. Maybe its because he deserves to be. The bloke offers no value for money whatsoever. Against Hull and his cameo v Arsenal left us effectively a man short. Also, to suggest he's not injury prone then admit the worst of his injuries where caused when he himself knew he wasn't anywhere near match fit also show how self centred he is. And as I've said before he's done NOTHING from day one to endear himself to the supporters of the club he captains. Oh yes, he can score goals. He's proved that in his 64 games in the last 4 years. I love how you probably read this entire conversation and then came out with that. So you cannot think of a single thing he's done for us since hes been here & he deserves to get booed because he was desperate to play football for us/England before he was fully ready to. Class

    Duff crocked again?

How many points would we have this season currently without duffs goals ... ? Surely hes our only midfield who even looks slightly capable of getting a goal atall.
